Looking for an OB - Wilmington / Newark

Hi all,

I am currently searching for an OB and wonder if you have any recommendations.  I'm currently seeing and RE and barring any issues, will get released to an OB.  Unfortunately, I don't know who to see. 

Do OB's perform u/s in office or do you find that you always have to go to a lab or have a tech do it where it seems impersonal?

    I am going to the All about Women Clinic which is right next to Christiana Hospital. Everyone is so nice and the office is lovely!

    I also go to all about women. I'm not quite half way into my 1st pregnancy, so I can't say how they are the whole way through, but I have several cousins that have all delivered with them for #1 and went back for #2.

    surprise, surprise--i go there too!  I would definitely recommend them. Since I'm AMA (aka old, lol) I went to the Center for Maternal and Fetal Medicine for my ultrasounds, and was happy with them.  If you are high risk, that's probably where you would go too.

    Thanks for bringing this up!  I'm moving to the area this summer, just got my BFP this week.  I'll definitely be checking out All About Women when I get to DE!

    All about women is a great practice! I worked for them for 5 years and I am currently a patient! Big Smile

    I go to Michael Cooksey. He was recommended to me over the summer, and I just had my baby a month ago. He is wonderful, and the staff in his office are great too. I was unsure about switching to a male doctor, but he is better than any of the other women OBs I have seen.

    I go to North Wilmington Women's Center out of St. Francis Hospital and also on Foulk Road. I've been seeing Dr. Petit for about 11 years now. Dr. Cosgrove and Dr. Leader are also phenomenal. They do ultrasounds at the Foulk Rd office but I am high risk so I have mine done at Delaware Maternal & Fetal Medicine in Abbey Medical Center by DE Park - they are WONDERFUL there as well :) Best of luck!!

    I see Dr. Stefanie Marshall at First State Women's Care.  She has an office with 3 other docs at the Medical Arts Pavillion next to Christiana Hospital.  I love her!

    Dr. Stefanie Marshall at First State Women's Care. She delivered my daughter in May 2011 and will be delivering baby #2 in June 2012. She is great! Plus, her office is in the building attached to the hospital, so she is right there. The three other doctors in her office are great and their Certified Nurse Midwife, Sharon, is wonderful! There is a lab located in their office and the physician performs your first U/S at your visit between 8-9 weeks. After that, they listen to the heart beat at each visit, but send you to one of their three other locations for future ultrasounds. Two locations are in the same building and one is less than 5 minutes away. Hope that helps!

    great offfice all around- my doc is Dr. Greg Demeo and I think he's straight forward and wonderful- Stefanie Marshall delivered one of my three babies and she's so kind.
