Yodajo - or other hexbug buyers

Are these the batteries you bought on Amazon?

And holy crap!?  Is this legit?  I mean, the hexbug labeled ones (package of two) is about the same cost (I think $1 cheaper)!?

Re: Yodajo - or other hexbug buyers

  • Yes, those are the ones I bought.  I think I read in one of the reviews that they bought those to go in the Hexbugs, plus Amazon recommended them with my purchase.   I have them, but haven't tried them yet.

Isn't it great to have so many on hand for so little?!

  • It seems like a bit overkill LOL

Joey and Cam play with their bugs quite often and they've had them a year and have only had to replace the batteries once.  But hey, better to have too much than not enough right?!

I think we are getting them the hexbug spiders for their stockings.  They look at them every time we go to TRU and love playing with the display one.  I was like "$25 for a freaking bug!" and Joe, who tends to be a wee bit more rational/frugal than me when it comes to purchases was like "actually, that's not that bad.  They ARE remote control!"  Um, ok.  I guess I'll get them then.

How is that $50 bucks can go THAT fast?!  I mean, two damn bugs.  Really?  It's insanity!

  • I seem to have a thing for buying in bulk, so 50 batteries is perfect for me.  Or maybe I have a thing for batteries because Lowe's had a deal today and I bought 60.  Hmmm...

Some of the reviews say they go through batteries quickly, so maybe it depends on which ones you have?  I just bought the nanos.  The remote control spiders sound cool.  I'll have to look at those if these are a hit with them.

It's funny-I can go shopping with MH and all he has to do is say, "That's a good deal."  and I'm sold.  It takes very little influence from him to persuade me!   Maybe because he is usually so negative when it comes to buying certain things, toys especially.

  • I just read that those batteries are pretty common in children's toys.  The books where you push buttons for sound, for instance, take those.  I just checked my dog's electric fence collar and it takes the same batteries too!  What a find!  I don't think I would have found that out if you hadn't asked, so thanks!
