Mini trampoline--experience?

I'm still trying to decide what my little one's santa gift will be.  She loves the cozy coupe at a friend's house, but our playroom has carpet, so I guess it'd be an outdoor toy and therefore not as appealing to me.

I was considering one of these mini trampolines.  She loves to bounce, and it would definitely be something she could grow into.  I think my 4 year old would even like it  Anyone have one of these, have thoughts on the good, bad, ugly?

  • We ordered this one for DD and I think she's going to love it.

FWIW, the Cozy Coupe has always been a big hit at our house..inside and outside and it's used on carpet too.

  • We have had a rebounder in our house for almost a year.  We love it.  We bought it to help detox as it helps the lymphatic system and because it was suggested by DD's OT to help her with both core strength issues and sensory issues.  All my kids use it.  Since we were buying a bigger version than a kids one, we decided to get one with a bar across the front like the one you linked so the kids could hold on.  It wasn't that much more than the one you linked and our whole family uses it.  I got ours from Academy.  I like that ours folds up for easy storage, although we haven't stored it yet, we use it too much.  Highly recommend!
  • Last year for Christmas we got the boys a mini-trampoline.  It wasn't a "kids" one either.  It was just a regular, maybe $30 one from Academy, the ones you'd use as an adult for exercise.  My kids love it and use it all the time.  We had to put it in the garage to make room for the tree, and they ask about it almost every day.  In all honesty, I'd save the extra $20 and get one from Academy.  Knowing my children, that "safety" bar would have caused more accidents than it prevented.  Just my $0.02.

ETA: If you go this route, trust me and let a couple of the guys at Academy assemble it for you at the store.  DH and I tried at home, and I just knew one of us was going to lose a finger.  In fact, I was waiting for one of the Academy guys to lose a finger when I took it back to the store for help.  It took two of them + plenty of swearing to get it.
