29. i got the most painful kick of my life yesterday..it stopped me from walking and i nearly fell over. i got about 4 more in the next 10 minutes...luckily, just regular kicks since. everything else is normal. sleep deprived, back pain, can't breathe, leg cramps. isn't being pregnant fun?
2. When is your next appointment? Will anything special happen at that appointment?
12/16. it's my first (second?) of my every-two week appointments. i don't think anything special is happening. i took my 3hr GD test on saturday, i hope to get results soon.
3. What are you looking forward to this week?
i have too much going on this week. one of my bff's is flying in from NYC for work on weds and he'll be staying with us over the weekend, just in time for my h and i's annual holiday party. other misc fun stuff throughout the week.
4. Monday confession?
i misled my IL's about what types of food were on the "safe/banned" list of pregnancy because i didn't feel like eating MIL's cooking. i ate spaghetti instead.

not yet, i feel like i need to start but i don't want to buy diapers yet. the "real"-ness of pregnancy has still yet to sink in.

ideally, i'd like to work until 2 days or so before the baby comes...but definitelly, can't predict that!

my first movement i felt was at 14w4d. i know, super early, but i didn't feel anything after that until about 18 wks. i'm definitely sure the first movement i felt at 14w was real because it's all felt exactly the same since. "regular" movements have been about since 21wks, and continually increasing..

what major items are "must-have" for day-one of baby? i.e. strollers, high chairs are *not*, carseat *is*.

i did very well with PNV during TTC...i took them for almost 7 months straight (includes 3 months before) trying, just to prep...i stopped/got lazy/lost motivation the month before we got pregnant. oops!

1. What week are you in? Any new aches or pains? Wk. 15, feeling SO much better! Just a little stretching in the belly region.
2. When is your next appointment? Will anything special happen at that appointment? 12/12, normal check up and I find out when I can schedule my A/S.
3. What are you looking forward to this week? Um, the weekend.
4. Monday confession? I cannot stop eating lately! I am hungry all the time! Also, I cried yesterday because I couldn't find matching gloves. Hormones much?!
5. When did you ladies pack bags for the hospital/birth center for your delivery and what unusual things were you super glad you had? I had a planned C/S, but I started packing about a week before and threw in items here and there. The night before I finished it up with all the last minute stuff. I don't think I really had any unusual things, but being able to put some makeup on and fix my hair a little after surgery made me feel SO much better.
6. For working moms, when did you stop working in preparation for baby? I'd like to work up until baby comes but I'm not sure how realistic that is. My C/S was scheduled for Monday morning, my last day at work was the Wed. before. It was so nice to have a few days to sleep in, get a pedicure, tidy up my house, run last minute errands and just relax.
7. 2nd time + moms, when did you start feeling baby #2 move? My question.
8. Occasionally (like every few days) I feel something that I think might be baby moving. When did you start feeling baby move regularly with your first? With Lucy, I started feeling her move reg. around 18 wks. Before that it was occasional. DH felt her move at about 20 wks.

2. When is your next appointment? Will anything special happen at that appointment? 19th. I don't think anything special, other than appts are every 2 weeks now.
3. What are you looking forward to this week? Nothing. Sigh. I had a horribly stressful weekend that trickled into Monday morning. So I'm looking forward to thinks taking a turn for the better.
4. Monday confession? I gave myself a bloody lip. DD threw the biggest tantrum of her life yesterday at nap time & it was horrible & stressful, so I bit my lip so I wouldn't lash out at her. Didn't realize how hard I"d bitten down until later - now I look like someone punched me in the lip

4. Monday confession? I am worried baby will come early, it's making me freak out about what we need to do.

not yet, i feel like i need to start but i don't want to buy diapers yet. the "real"-ness of pregnancy has still yet to sink in.
Do you plan on taking you own diapers to the hospital? fyi- they supply them, and send you home with extra.

1. What week are you in? Any new aches or pains? Week 20. Halfway there!
2. When is your next appointment? Will anything special happen at that appointment? After Christmas...my doctor was fine with not seeing me until I get home from visiting family.
3. What are you looking forward to this week? My brother is visiting, so getting to see him for one more day. After that, maybe ordering our nursery bedding later this week.
4. Monday confession? We went out to dinner with a big group Saturday and the service/food was so bad I complained to the manager (2 hours until we got entrees that were cold/rubbery!?!). DH was really embarrased because he never complains but I couldn't even eat my salad bc it was slimy from sitting in the dressing by the time I was served. They were super apologetic and gave us a $50 gift certificate to come back some other time for a better experience.

1. What week are you in? Any new aches or pains? I think I am in 30 or 31- I don't know how it is I keep forgetting. So far things are going really smoothly. I sleep really well and feel pretty good. The baby has been getting hiccups which I find to be an uncomfortable sensation.
2. When is your next appointment? Will anything special happen at that appointment? I believe it's around 12/21. I had my GD test last week and it came back great. I did turn out to be anemic though- so I'm stocking up on iron now to prepare for the birth.
3. What are you looking forward to this week? My second to last birth class- they just make for too long of a night and I'm thankful that (though useful) they are almost over.
4. Monday confession? I want to act like a non-pregnant lady, including doing chores I used to do. This Saturday I waited until my husband left the house on errands and then I ran outside with the leaf blower and blew/raked away all the leaves in our front and side yard. It felt great, but it's the type of thing I can only do when he's not looking or he'll 'help out' and then I don't enjoy it so much.

I've even been told that it might be good to go to work during early labor to kill the time. My coworkers all do this and it seems to work out well. Plus it allows all the leave to take place afterwards with baby.

1. What week are you in? Any new aches or pains? Week 14. I keep getting headaches. I had one since Saturday and even with Tylenol it won't go away. At least the morning sickness is gone for now.
2. When is your next appointment? Will anything special happen at that appointment? This wednesday. The midwife wanted to see the size of the baby so a ultrasound. Yay!
3. What are you looking forward to this week? My b-day and finishing the last quarter before applying to the Nursing Program.
4. Monday confession? Every time I see those tickers of the size comparison, I want to eat that fruit or veggie for the week. It's a little weird to me.

1. What week are you in? Any new aches or pains? Almost 31 weeks! I'm starting to have some pain in my lower belly, right under my bump. I think it's stretching.

Regular movement was probably week 22-23 and on.

30w4d along.
I got my first leg cramp Friday night, which was SO not cool -- it locked up so hard that it not only woke me up, but I ended up accidentally waking up DH, too. I was seriously incapable of stretching it out by pointing my toes up to my shin or anything; my whole calf was basically just locked in position. DH rubbed it out for me, but it still aches today. :-/

Next appt is the 15th -- we'll review my (as-yet-unwritten) birth plan.

Finishing up our childbirth classes and a massage on Saturday. Mmm... massage.

I started feeling flutters at ~13.5wks, first actual kick (more like being poked VERY gently by the world's tiniest finger) at 16w... "regular" movement not too long after that, but I don't remember exactly when. I know I was feeling at least SOMETHING from the LO every day by ~20wks, and nowadays there's no way to mistake it. But I seem to be feeling movement pretty early for a first-timer!

2. What are you looking forward to this week? My work Christmas Party Friday night then a Christmas catch up with friends Saturday night.
3. Monday confession? I said to my DH after AF showed up last week well at least now I can drink over the Christmas/New yr period and then hopefully have some more luck in the new year.

It's only our 3rd cycle TTC and it drives me insane when AF turns up, I can't imagine how it feels to do a transfer and then have a loss. Hang in there & know that we are all thinking of you.

3. What are you looking forward to this week? Being DONE with grad school until I go back in April! (I'm taking next quarter off to, you know, have a baby)
4. Monday confession? I had a work training today where we got the afternoon for work time (to be centered around the ideas of the training). For many reasons, I'm the only person on my grade level team here... so I worked on grad school stuff.
5. When did you ladies pack bags for the hospital/birth center for your delivery and what unusual things were you super glad you had? ? I made sure everything was ready by 36 weeks. I had a bag in the car and an empty bag with a list of last minute stuff to pack (laptop, etc.) I was very glad to have my laptop, breastfeeding pillow, and nursing cover. Everyone told me I wouldn't need nursing pads but my milk came in a few hours before I left so I wish I would've brought some.
6. For working moms, when did you stop working in preparation for baby? I'd like to work up until baby comes but I'm not sure how realistic that is. I won't stop until the baby decides to make his arrival.
7. 2nd time + moms, when did you start feeling baby #2 move? Around 15 weeks. Last time it wasn't til almost 19 weeks. Obviously at 15 weeks it felt like a funny bubble in my ute, not kicking.

JessieJH Well, I started packing at 34 weeks ... and didn't actually really finish until the night before I was induced. There were too many things I needed from the bag before then -- cellphone charger, camera, iPod, etc.

I'd like to work up until baby comes but I'm not sure how realistic that is. ?jacquiekat I wasn't working last time, and this time I plan to work right up until my due date. However, I work from home, and when I say home, I mean my couch.

Waiting to O. This is the first cycle I haven't been on BCPs or hormones since August, so the first time I've O'd without intervention since the summer! I hope my body remembers what to do.
2. What are you looking forward to this week?
Christmas cookie baking party with my sister. Hoping this will finally get me in the Christmas spirit.
3. Monday confession?
DH is out of town this week, so it's just me and the dog. I'm letting the dog sleep in the bed with me. Under the covers. He keeps me warm. I have to change the sheets before DH gets back so he doesn't see the dog hair.

I've been taking them for almost 3 years now. I miss a few days here and there, but once I got in the habit it was pretty easy to stick with it.

No, but thanks for the answers to my question from last week. I know we have to try again. It's just so hard to stay hopeful, but I'm trying.

I haven't been taking prenatal multis, but i've been taking a combination of others that equate to multis. I think i'm ready to switch to a chewable veg. prenatal, though b/c the b-complex i take is horrible.
