Somewhat of a vent

Im really thinking about leaving this board, it seems like anyone who is new to the group is ridiculed whenever they post! I have asked questions and my posts have turned into an insult thread or my questions are flat out ignored. I know that some of you have been on here for awhile and probably are friends but you do not have to make less frequent posters feel like outsiders.

It's not about being "new to the group." It's about taking the time to read the newbie link at the top of the page and read a few posts before you decide to jump on in. Most things that people ask are easily found by reading a few pages. Also, the "Am I Pregnant?" posts get old really quickly. Anything can be a pregnancy symptom in your mind, but it can also be AF on her way, but we have no way of knowing if people are in fact pregnant.

That being said, if you're not feeling the board, there are plenty of other websites out there that you might like better...

I posted so that people would know I'm leaving and the reason. If new posters just leave without saying anything no one will notice and things will stay the same around here. I posted to make people aware of what is going on to new posters on this board.

I've been around here a long time sweetie and I can PROMISE you that these posts mean nothing....I can't tell you how many times we've seen posts like these and sh!t's still the same...always will be....some people can handle it, some can't....

i'm newish and have not noticed any of the things you speak of. I ask real questions about real problems and NOT "OMGEEEZZZ I think im PREGGGSS"

Also, I jump in and get involved with the converstaion so people don't just think im someone who only cares about their own issues. You have to give a little to get something back.

I think most of the posts that are "ridiculed" on here is stuff that should be common sense. Things like, read the directions that come with your tests. Lurking and reading the newbie link can help prevent those kinds of posts in the first place. But, if you don't like it, there are other boards. It's not like we haven't heard "you guys are so mean" before. Some things just get old over time.

Wow. That is hurtful. What have I EVER done to you? I try to be helpful.
(I'm sure I'm going to be reported for saying that - why you'll report me or what you'll say, I have no clue - but that's the 'feeling' I get from you.)

OP, You've been around here for a little while - I remember your intro. What question was not answered...? A link to the post would be great and I will see what I can do.

I know I try to answer questions as best I can, but I don't have all of the answers. If you were the one that recently deleted a post, I called you out on it simply because it's frustrating when you craft a thoughtful answer and then someone goes and deletes the post so they will never even see what you took the time to write for them.

OP, I remember you posting something about how your husband was a jerk to you. The response you received was that you shouldn't let him treat you that way and you got mad that people were ripping on your husband. I'm pretty sure you deleted that thread. If you can't handle people being honest with you, then you're right, you should probably leave the board.

Ditto what CityBee said... I remember you from the post "if I don't conceive this month, my husband will leave me".... that's not a very supportive SO and I think anyone with common sense can agree. If you think otherwise, that's on you. We told you our opinions. If you don't like what you heard, why did you solicit comments? bye, bye!

So if it's all up to God, why bother having sex? Why bother TTGP? Won't it be an immaculate conception? FTR, I am a religious woman. I am also very well educated. Reproduction is about science, not God.
