2nd round of IUI today

Hi Ladies! Hope eveyone had a great Thanksgiving.

 

I had my surge last night late. I went for my IUI with DH this morning. 1 follie. About maybe to collapse. RE asked if we want to come back tomorrow for another IUI. This is our 2nd month of IUI's so my question is. Is it normal to come back for a 2nd day in a row for IUI? What does that do to our odds of it working this month?

    I don't know about odds, but my RE's office does B2B as standard protocol.

    My RE does B2B on injects, only one on oral meds.  Good luck!

    I did a b2b IUI the first time.  My RE said that it doesn't give better odds to do that if the follicles have already dropped.  With my first IUI, the follicles were still there so that is why we did the IUI the next day as well.  The 2nd day, they had dropped.  So I don't think that it is to get more sperm up there but just the timing of everything.

    not sure about the dropping of a follicle but i have heard B2B do increase your chances since you can cover the bases of pre-post-O'ing and, hey, more sperm = more little guys that are in there for longer! I've done 6 cycles with only IUI but this time around we are doing B2B. FX for you (and me!)
    Me: 31yrs old. In same/sex relationship for 12years
    I'm carrying & we are using anonymous donor sperm
    In March 2012 diagnosed with Diminished Ovarian Reserve (AMH = O.67) & IVF recommended

    FET (2 5dt embryos) on 11/5/12= BFP! Beta #1=58; Beta #2=98, Beta #3=373. First u/s on 11/28/12 = 1 sac with fetal pole & heartbeat! Next u/s = 12/12/12

    TTC History
    IVF#1 (Antagonist Protocol) Sept 2012 = BFN
    10R; 8F; 4 Day5 GradeA embryos. Put back 2, froze 2.
    12 IUIs (in 9 cycles) since March 2011:
    6 unmedicated/unmonitored = BFNs
    3 with Clomid/Trigger/monitoring/progesterone = BFNs
