Pre preg jeans- fail!!

Not sure why I decided to torture myself by attempting to fit into my Pre preg jeans. I'm going to a Christmas party and off I go in my maternity jeans. Well now I know where those 20 pounds are hanging out....in my thighs and butt. Man I can't wait to be cleared to go back to the gym!

  • I'm in the same boat.  I pulled out this huge box of pre-pregnancy clothing and only 3-4 long sleeve shirts fit :-(

Even my maternity jeans don't fit right anymore...I keep having to pull them up every 5 sec.  So I just decided to buy a larger size pair of jeans (with stretchy denim) two days ago.  I'll probably wear them many days a week until I lose the baby weight.  I have no clue what I'm going to wear most of this winter and I really don't want to buy too many big size clothing items...oh well.

  • I tried mine on the other day too. I didn't expect to get them buttoned/zipped but I figured I could wear them with a belly band... yeah, they didn't go past my thighs...

  • I can get mine on and zip them up but they look ridiculous. My thighs are bigger and while I can stand in the jeans.....definitely can't sit in them.

I bought 2 pairs of jeans to get me through. Lucky for me my MIL sews and can take in my jeans once I drop some more weight, but in the meantime, it's a little depressing to be wearing the size I am right now.

  • My pre preg jeans won't go up over my thighs at all, so sad. My maternity jeans keep falling too, even with the Bella band as extra support. I tried looking for some longer sweaters to cover my ass when I wear leggings but can't find any to save my life. I need to get something to wear to work when I go back!

  • LOL! This is me too! I thought I hadn't gained any weight in my thighs and butt! Just kidding! I will be wearing maternity jeans for a little while too, but Im also having the same problem with keeping them up.  I don't want to spend the money on bigger jeans like everyone else, but I also have our first family pics coming up and want to look nice:)

  • I lost more than my pre-pregnancy weight, and mine still don't fit right (I can tell I have a little more weight on my butt and in my midsection...but everything else seems to be good) - plus, I had a c-section so I'm still weird about wearing jeans. I've just been wearing athletic pants and my jeans with a band to feel more comfy. I want to try to start walking some soon but it hasn't worked out so far - the cold weather and not sleeping baby doesn't really help!

  • Same here - I can't fit into the jeans that were my biggest jeans prior to pregnancy.  Butt and thighs are tight, but I can't button them at my pelvis..

    This is me exactly...ugh!

  • Wow... I'm impressed you even tried.  Maybe I will try around 6 weeks post partum.  I can't imagine wearing anything but yoga pants right now. =)

Try Macys- they are having a HUGE sale plus an extra 25% off sale/clearance. I saw a ton of nice long tunic sweaters that will work well with leggings. Good luck!

  • Lol and I was just happy that I could fit into my non-maternity leggings I wont be trying jeans for a loooong time.

  • I made the mistake of trying on mine as well. I can button them, and then I have the world's largest spare tire hanging over them...

I'm only a few pounds above my pre-pg weight, but it's obviously really redistributed. I'll apparently be in my maternity jeans for a while longer. I'm hoping to avoid buying larger jeans because I really really want to get back into my old size.

  • Two Words: Old Navy!! Get some $30 jeans so that you can just toss them when you can fit back into your pre-pregnancy stuff. They have a new fit called "The Dreamer" that has a classic rise & a "hidden panel" to suck you in and hide the muffin top. Plus, they are having a buy one get one 75% off sale (everything in the store), so you can get two pairs for a little over $40!!

  • Having lost most of my pregnancy weight, I too, tried to fit into pre-pregnancy pants.  Epic fail.  I could get them mostly up (I would have torn a seam had I tried to sit or bend over), but they weren't close to zipping or buttoning.

With only a few weeks left before heading back to work, I know I need to try on my dress clothes to see what will be appropriate.  I have a bunch of coupons for stores that expire around Christmas, so I know I have to see what I can get by with and what I can buy for cheap to hold me over until I am "normal size."

But, as I look at my precious little guy sleeping in his rock and play, I realize the flabby tummy and bigger bottom is worth it.
