I started taking it Friday night. It worked wonders this weekend but today it's not doing much for me. So frustrating!! The side effects are horrible...headache, tiredness, and constipation. I'm trying to decided if it's really worth taking. Is anyone else experiencing this? Do you take it every 8 hours (even if you aren't really nauseous) or just when you are nauseous?
Re: Anyone else have a love/hate relationship with zofran?
I started taking it on Friday after ending up in the ER last Thursday for dehydration. I'm on 4mg and it doesn't seem to do much for me. I have really bad nausea without vomiting. If I take it it works long enough to let me get something in my stomach and that's about it. I don't know if it's related but I have had diarhea since last Friday when I started taking it as well. I have not noticed that i'm anymore tired than I was before and have not had any headaches.
How many mg are you taking? I was thinking about calling my OB today and having the dosage upped.
I'm taking 8mg. I hope it starts working for you!
When my OB wrote me the prescription she said to take it when needed. On the box it says every 8 hours. I just wasn't sure.
I have started taking vitamin B6
and it's really working! I was feeling constantly nauseous and really quite depressed. Now I feel amazing.
I had been trying to get a bunch of B vitamins through food but when you want to puke all the time, that's kinda hard.
I am now taking 50mg of B6 (pyridoxine) over the course of the day and I pretty much feel myself again
I took B6 with my first pregnancy. I don't know why I didn't think of it. Thanks for the reminder!
I'll have to try the miralax. Is unisom over the counter or prescribed?
