...with a BFN this cycle! AF made a surprise visit 2 days early today. It would have been fun to announce a pregnancy on Christmas, and a baby conceived this cycle would have been due on our 5-year wedding anniversary, which would have been kind of awesome. Oh well.
Yesterday, after I had some spotting that I was pretty sure was the beginning of AF, I got together with an old friend who told me his wife is pregnant (after about one try). I am genuinely happy for them but the timing was not fantastic. And on Friday we found out our cat has Chronic Renal Failure. Not the best weekend ever. Thank goodness for Clusterfluff ice cream!
Re: LV1979, you're not the only one...
Sorry to hear that. Believe me, I understand how frustrating that is.
I'm not sure if this helps, but every time we had our negatives we were SO sad (and the BFN's went on for years). Now, I can clearly see how it was totally God's plan, because this is the best time for us to be having a baby (or in our case babies). As sad as it was for us, now I'm so happy that our BFP happened when it did.
Good luck next cycle!

UGGGG...sorry!! Well hopefully the little fellas will get it done in December and we can all ring in the New Year right!!!!
You poor kitty. That happened to our cat a few years ago it is very sad and we miss her a lot.
IVF Oct/Nov 2012
Beta #1 = 77, Beta #2 = 190, Beta #3 = 1044
Cautiously optimistic.
The sushi was fantastic!!!! DW was very happy with her salmon roll and spicy tuna roll. I enjoyed my Maryland roll (filled with yummy cooked crab...I cant handle the raw stuff). I am doing the sticky baby, super sperm, friendly egg happy dance in hopes of BFP for all...lol!!!
Yeah, the kitty thing is pretty sad. I know it's common for cats but it's still hard. She got subcutaneous fluids yesterday and we switched her to a kidney diet food, which she loves, so her eating picked up and I think she's feeling a lot better. She may still have plenty of time with us but it's definitely not going to go away.
As for baby-making, we finally just decided to take December off and I am scheduling a consult with an RE. It's possible after meeting with them that we'll want to stick to our midwives a bit longer, but I want to hear what the RE recommends for me. Sperm costs too much to proceed without knowing all our options, especially given that we already know my hormones are off. And I think you all managed to convince me that I'd be more comfortable doing Clomid with monitoring. It's frustrating to take another month off but I feel good about our decision and I'm looking forward to learning more about my best options.

You guys aren't alone. I also got BFN as well and AF arrived 3 days early! Ugh! We are also grieving as one of our cats died in our arms at home three days ago. He was our second cat to die in our household less than 3 month. Aspen had an enlarged heart and he was 10 1/2 years old. Yesterday Little Bear and I adopted a new cat who picked him out. Our new kitty, Sidnie, is a black and white girl.
Many way - hanging in there to try again in 2012.
Ladies, I am drinking wine. And it is delicious. If I'm going to take a month off, I'm making the most of it. And it starts with cote du rhone.
Thanks for all your support and good wishes. Today the RE's office called me back and their next available appointment was end of next week on a day I had already taken off from work, so I'm all booked. I feel really good about seeing what they have to say.
