Starting to get scared.....

So I have my scheduled c-section in 1 week, and I am really starting to get scared. I'm not as scared about the actual surgery as I am about about... well everything having to do with having a brand new baby ...I already have a child but he is 10 years old and I was very young when I had him...so really this one is like my first again..Don't get me wrong, I am soo excited to have this baby, but at the same time, very scared...please tell you some of you are scared too!

  • I was suppose to have my scheduled csection this coming Friday but my baby decided that she is a black Friday baby:-) I was scared but overall the experience wa a good one. My surgery was done by the 2 best OB's in their practice which made us feel good. Good Luck:-)

  • yep I'm scared, FTM here so I am just scared of the unknowns, and the lack of sleep that I know is coming...

but the excitement outweighs the fear at this point.

  • I go in in 2 weeks for my c/s. Today DH told me he doesn't think he's mentally prepaired for an infant (DS is 4 on 12/27). I kinda feel that way too, I think especially since we know what it was like with DS with the sleepless nights and whatnot. Personally, I am nervous that I've forgotten how to do everything that I had learned with DS since it's been a long time since he was an infant and DS is a pretty self sufficient pre-schooler. I get where you are coming from though, it will be fine Smile

  • Oh, we've very excited to have DD too, but it sure is nice once they are sleeping through the night and potty trained, huh? Big Smile

  • You're not alone. We were going to do my scheduled C section durning Christmas week, but it's been moved to this Thurs (unless anything shows up during any one of my 3 appointments this week, then it will be that day). Still nervous, my son was a natural delivery...14 years ago. lol It is like starting all over again, excited, but still trying to "remember" all the details that I learned as a FTM, it's really funny :) Hang in there, remember you're in good hands and it's ok to be scared, nervous, etc, but soon you'll also be holding that precious LO and nothing else will matter :)

I have an appt tomorrow to hopefully find out when it is :) All in all Im excited, but that little part of me is scared of starting all over again.....good luck! Im sure we will all be fine :D
