We are on day 2 of no bottle, and it seems like he will never like his sippy. We have a variety and our straw cups seem to work the best, but he still hates them. He arches his back and screams when he sees it. He normally won't even attempt to take sips from it. Yesterday he took about 10 ounces all day and today he took only about 3. He definitely knows how to use it, but the thought of it pisses him off.
We are still having wet diapers, but I'm just wondering how long it took your little one to be fine with the transition.  Any advice is appreciated as well.
Re: For those that got rid of bottle cold turkey
we used the sippy cups with the soft nipples, dont give up he will get used to them.
We went cold turkey at 15 months. A good week of pouting even with water. And shes never drank milk again. But likes cheese and yogurt. If shes having an off day I give her a gummy calcium supplement.
He's been given and taking a sippy cup for a while, long before we got rid of the bottle, only for water though, and he never drank a ton from it and definitely never preferred it. I think he's just being stubborn.
What did your doctor say about this? Will she drink water and other liquids at least in her sippy?
When I started K on WCM, I always offered it in a sippy, but still gave her formula in the bottle. I didn't that for a week or so, and then started upping the amount of WCM and decreasing the formula. We were totally off the bottle and formula in about 2 weeks, if that.
We actually had the best luck with a cheapo hard sippy cup from Walmart. The fancy, more expensive ones seemed to be much harder for her to get milk out of.
