What color crib are you planning on getting or have you gotten? I haven't really thought much about the nursery but I was always planning on getting a white crib but I also really like rubbed black as well. Decisions, decisions.
White! We are going for a vintagey theme so I think it will fit in nicely! I thought about a darker black/brown color but it seemed a little harsh. My friend has a really dark crib and the first thing I notice in her baby's room is how dark it is in contrast to how light and airy the feel of the room is. Does that makes sense? I think it depends on the rest of your room design as well.
White because it matches the bedding set.. but I LOVE the rubbed black! If I didn't have the bedding set I have I would go with that! There are some gorgeous rubbed black cribs.
Espresso. All of our furniture is dark wood, and I have always loved mahogany, espresso, and cherry stains. We want the nursery furniture to fit in with everything else we have. Plus I loooove the contrast between the dark wood and the off-white and sage green bedding we have.
Espresso......most of our furniture in our house is espresso, and it's a 4 in 1 crib that will convert to a full size bed too. If we end up having a boy, I can't imagine him wanting a white bedroom set into his teen years.
We did white. It is just classic. We were planning to get espresso, but something about the white that is timeless. Plus, we are having a boy and his room is blue, so white just makes it stand out. Plus it is gender neutral for when we have baby #2.
Espresso. We have mostly dark wood furniture in our house so it will go along with everything else. Plus I like it better for a boy since it's a convertible crib.
The technical name for our set is called "Cinnamon," but it's really Chestnut colored. It matches the doors in our upstairs bedrooms almost perfectly and just reminds me of kind of country-ish furniture and I just love it.

DS has a cherry crib and we will get that color if it's another boy.
If it's a girl I want a white crib.
4/25/12 ~ Our angel, Persephone James, is here!
We have a super modern white crib with a medium wood stained drawer underneath for Connor (Baby Mod Parklane from Walmart).
We picked up a blue Ikea crib for the next baby -- or maybe we'll give it to Connor. Not sure yet!
I'll love you forever,
I'll like you for always,
As long as I'm living my baby you'll be.
