I work 4-10hour days and I am on my feet all day..I live in Fl so I wear flip flops to work, I know they are horrible, but I at least wear crocs to work and not flat shoes. I think I may need to start wearing tennis shoes or something else. My feet hurt so bad by the end of the day that I barely want to get up to go to the bathroom.
I asked Dr. about it and he told to stay away from sodium and drink alot of water. Anyone else suffering with me?
Re: Anyone else's feet swelling or hurting already..

I work 8 or 10 hour shifts, with one 14-hour shift every 2 weeks and am on my feet most of the time. I've been wearing knee-high support stockings on the shorter shifts and full on pregnancy stockings on the 14-hours shift, along with sneakers with inserts and they have made a huge difference. Today, I actually didn't have any clean support stockings and man, could I tell the difference in my ankles!
The support stockings are mild compression (8-15mmHg) and they look like pantyhose. You can also buy some that look like trouser socks. I actually have pregnancy, higher compression stockings for the days that I work my 14-hour shift.

The type of swelling is called pitting edema, and yes, that is one indicator of pre-e. You can check that by pushing in by your ankle, and if it stays sunken in then it's pitting edema.
OP, to answer your question yes. But I've also been watching myself more closely. I was diagnosed with pre-eclampsia with DS and had some complications and had to deliver at 37 weeks (luckily it wasn't severe pre-e). But I have been having pitting edema almost nightly now. I also have been having an increase in my blood pressure. BUT I'm just monitoring it right now because my lower number isn't in a number of concern.
Also have your DH rub your feet when you get home, that will help push the fluid back into your body instead of it being dependent into your feet/legs. GL and if you have any questions feel free to ask!
