I know this sounds dumb, becuase it reality we just want healthy babies. But have you thought about a perfect date for LO to come? With DS, I was due November 9th. I was determined to have an October baby, but didn't want the 13th or the 31st. Absolutely silly, I know! Obviously, if he had decided to make his debut those days, I would have been fine with it! Tee hee. He came on the 30th and we were thrilled! :-)
This baby I really want to hold out until February. DH wants him to come on 2/10 (his birthday) and I don't have a preference, I just feel like January is too close to Christmas. Lol, February for whatever reason seems much further?
Silly post, I know!
Re: Anyone have their heart set on a birthdate for LO?
My husband says the baby must NOT come on February 16th, haha. (His brother's birthday.) I would love for LO to come after 37 weeks so that I can have my out of hospital birth, but before my due date. And definitely before any there is any necessity of an induction!!
My husband wants a Leap Year baby born on Feb 29. :-p I'm not a fan of that idea.
I really want Feb 8. We were married on an 8th and DD was born on an 8th, so I figure it would be absolutely perfect. It would be my due date based on LMP, even though my doctors have be dated several days later. I'm really hoping, though.
I specifically don't want the 11th because that was my dad's birthday and he has passed away, leaving my grandmother a grieving mess. I guess it might come off a little mean, but if LO is born on the 11th, then every time my grandmother talks to him for his birthday, all she'll do is talk about how that was my dad's birthday and get herself all depressed and I really want to avoid that.
i have a list of dates i'd be happy with...
we are team green...so if we have a girl, i reeeealllllly want her on my due date of 2/14. if it's a boy, we don't want 2/14!
if it's a girl..we want her to be at least plus or minus a week from 2/14..so that she can have her own day, and not have to share it with valentines day.
if it's a boy we like 02/12/12
boy or girl we like
02/21/12
02/22/12
02/28, and just for fun 02/29
we probably won't make it that far though!!
I'm due the 8th, but this baby WILL be born on Superbowl Sunday.
DH is a HUGE football fan and his team is doing well this year, so the big joke is that his team will FINALLY be in the Superbowl and I'll go into labor and he'll miss it. We're so "sure" of this, I jokingly told my doctor not to make plans that day.
But, in reality I don't really have a date preference. Since I have GD, my doctor won't let me go too far past my due date, so Valentine's Day isn't really a concern. I would prefer sometime in February over January (since we already have a 12-27 "Christmas" baby). But really, anytime after 38-39 weeks is ok by me!
I wouldnt mind sharing a birthday 2-9-12, or having a valentines baby 2-14-12, or 2-12-12. I would rather not have her on BILs birthday 2-25-12 or the 29th. I would perfer a February baby too not March but really I guess it is up to her.
DD1 was due in the middle of September. My birthday is the 9th and I really wanted her to be my present. I was induced on the 15th.
DD2 was also due in the middle of September. My water broke at 3:15 am on my birthday. I love sharing my birthday with her!
I also prefer February over January because it seems farther from the holidays. I'm not sure why (wishful thinking that I won't be pregnant past my due date?), but I have a feeling that this LO is coming in January.
I just don't want LO to be born on 2/14 or 2/29. Any other day I will take.
My OB is funny since she did not even realize that it was Leap Year this year. I told her that any of her end of Feb or beginning of March Mommas would know.

My due date is the 6th. I kind of would prefer the baby be born on any other day, though, because it's my friend John's birthday, and he has been SOANNOYING since he found that out. It's also J's mom's birthday.
I just don't want to go too far past my due date, because I really want LO to be an Aquarius, and not a Pisces. My rising sign is Gemini, J's in Libra, and Aquarius is the third air sign. So it sounds more compatible.
My due date is 2/12/12 and that would be my preference. I would also be happy with Valentines day. Also SO's and my anniversary is 2/1 so that would be cool too.
Obviously I'd be happy with anything though. A leap year baby would be cool but I hope I don't have to wait that long!

The exact same conversation has been happening in my house (EDD on the 3rd). This would be the year that BOTH DH and my team make it in together. If that happens I am guarenteed to be in major labor. All joking aside - I would be just fine with a little football early labor distraction and a delivery on the 6th. 6 has always been my favorite number although I don't know why.
My family is a Foreign Service family. Families like mine are posted in every corner of the globe. We live our lives away from family, friends and the conviences and comforts of home. We often live and work in dangerous places among those that misunderstand our intentions and purposes. Sometimes members of our ranks sacrifice our lives to further diplomacy. Please remember that we serve too. And I'm always open to questions.
This is me exactly but for another reason. First, my birthday is the 11th and I don't really want to share! Second, DH and I started dating on 2/7 so I think it would be kind of neat for our first child to be born on that day!

After 1 year of TTC#2 BFP May 2011 m/c #3 4w2d. Off to RE.
Round 1: Femara + Ovidrel +TI = BFP! EDD 2/20/12
2IF does not always equal 3IF...Surprise!
No, because I know that she will come when she is ready and that picking a specific date will just make the whole wait more stressful.
I would prefer she not come on V-Day, but considering my EDD is the 12th and my first was born 3 weeks past her EDD, I am not really worried about that happening.
Haha, this is a fantastic post idea.
LO's due on the 9th. Like one of the PPs, I hope our LO comes relatively close to their EDD, so they're an Aquarius. Anywhere 20th Jan to 19th Feb is good! Fortunately, that's also when we're likeliest to deliver.
Ideally, I'd also love the 12th, lol. I love 2/12/12 as a birthday! The 10th would be good, too (2+10=12)... or the 9th (DH is born on a 9th)... or the 6th (2x6=12)...
I'd kind of prefer to avoid Valentine's Day, heh.
But, obviously, I'm happy with anything as long as we're all healthy in the end!

This is exactly us... We're due on the 6th/7th (that's even what the doctor says, lol) so it's definitely possible. While our team isn't as good as the Packers are, they've played pretty well when it matters and are leading their division right now. So we'll see. DH says it's going to happen like this... There's going to be a big play to start the game and I'm going to jump up and cheer and break my water. He's then going to make me sit through the game
Although our laboring rooms have tvs, so he can just watch it there!
But really, I'm pretty much ok with anytime between Jan 27 (which is my sister's birthday and she's already told me she'd love to share her birthday) and Feb 13 is fine with me... Except for the 3rd, which is an ex's birthday. 2/1/12 sounds pretty fun, so if I have to schedule something, it'll probably be for then.
I'm due on the 22nd and I would really love for that to be her birthday. For some reason I've always wanted to have the births of my children (this is my first) to be on even numbers...I was born on a odd number so maybe that has something to do w/ it? Don't know but I hope she comes on an even day...I know that is so silly!
My husband's bday is on the 14th and I don't want her to share his bday. Funny but his due date was the 22nd also! I don't really care about her zodiac sign...so really my only preference is that she comes on an even number day. LOL
