mailing advice

DS turns 2 on New Year's Eve. We are having his birthday party on the afternoon of New Year's Day. We had DD on Nov. 3. We are doing a combined Christmas card/birth announcement this year. My question is, which should I mail out first, DS's birthday invitation or the Christmas card/birth announcement? Both are close to being ready (just need stamps and to print labels). And how long should I wait until I do the second mailing. Thanks!

    Save yourself some postage and put them both in the same envelope if you can.

    I see no issue with mailing everything together.

    DS's birthday is also on New Year's Eve. His invitations were mailed out 6 weeks in advance (directly from the place we're having it). I'm no where near ready to mail out Christmas cards yet.
