Some ppl say it takes longer for the supply to come in after a c section. It's been since Monday and still no milk. I have to supplement, but I have also been pumping.

2 days. I had been leaking for 2 or 3 months before having DS and I didn't start pumping until the milk actually came in. Doctor said I would have to supplement, but we didn't have to.
I think the whole "some say..." with everyone is different. No 2 people are the same, so I just say, take everything you hear with a grain of salt. If it takes you a week to have your milk come in and the doc says its normal, so be it.
10 days for me! Eek. We supplemented in the beginning too. Looking back, I would use an SNS to supplement instead of a bottle, so that he was nursing too while getting some formula. I think the supplementing kind of set us back even more.
When I self compress, it is white coming out, but not a lot. Last time my breasts were sore and I could definitely tell that I was starting to produce some milk. I have been supplementing at the breasts bc with DS #1 we were supplementing using our gloved finger to suck on with a syringe ( that's how they showed us at the hospital), but I think it had affected his latch. Thanks for the responses!

I am a newbie here..if it takes a few days for milk to come in..how are you feeding baby then? What kind of formula? Will baby get confused from going to bottle to breast?

Your body will produce colostrum for the first few days, which is all baby needs. If you plan on breast feeding, wait for your milk to come in.
Currently we are doing SNS and I am pumping and doing everything the LC says to encourage let down but still no luck. The LC says she doesn't know what else to try...
