Wow. Sitting in the waiting room waiting for DS to come out of surgery, I overheard a whopper of a conversation. The nurse came to talk to the patient's mother but she was out smoking. The Mother's aunt was there and the nurse asked her how to spell the mother's name. The aunt said, "Oh you'd have to wait an ask her that. It's long." She tried to pronounce it: tray-gee-o-say-fee-a-lee (or something). Sounds like an illness.

Reminds me of my own family, but in reverse. Relative named her son Jermia (but pronounced Jeremiah). At her shower, someone asked her how to pronounce it and then proceeded to tell her that she spelled it wrong. Relative told them it was too late to change the spelling of his name because she had already had a diaper bag made with his name embroidered on it.
Fra-gee-lay...ohh must be Italian.
this sounds like how Dory on Nemo would pronounce 'Fragile'.
It's from "A Christmas Story", I thought everyone has seen that movie.
