Lillian Vernon - anyone order from?

I always get this catolog around Christmas time.  Some of the stuff looks cute and gets decent reviews on their website.  Have you ever ordered from them?  I worried that with the price of some of the items it will be junkie.  They have a few things that would make nice Christmas present if it's nice.

What has your experience been? TIA!

    I ordered from Lillies Kids for some Christmas gifts last year.  They were super cute especially being personalized.  I was happy with everything I got.

    Only ordered 1 thing - a portfolio to store DS's art. It had a misspelling on the front. Sorry but if you can't spell on a kids product you must be selling cheap and nasty.

    My mother in law buys from there all the time.  The stuff she has given us is very nice and good quality.

    No. It was part of the product. Their manufacturer was obviously a high school dropout who thought it was ok to put on a kid's product the word "exellant".

    Their response was that they would tell their manufacturer. I've since seen reviews of the product complaining about exactly that point on that product.

    But to me it says bigger things about their quality.?

    Good experience!  Got a growth chart, it was under $20 and great quality.  No problems with personalization.  I will say, though, that I have heard many people complain that during the busy months (holiday, I presume) personalization had been done with stickers as lettering.  I happened to order during the off season and the personalization was engraved and came out beautifully.

    Last year for Christmas I ordered toiletry cases and beach towels for my niece and nephew.  They were really cute with embroidered names on them.  I probably ordered them about now...you should have plenty of time to get your stuff.  They had a few loose threads and things...and they are certainly no pottery barn if that's the type of quality you're looking for.
