Hmmm.... if only it were true

I came across a fortune telling book in the dollar bin at World Market. It's associated by name, so I looked mine up. Of course it says something so far from real to me right now: "You will mother many happy children." I threw the book down and rolled my eyes. I should be taking it as a sign, but I'm kind of in a crap mood!

Beta 1= 607; Beta 2= 1,564; Beta 3= 24,439; Beta 4= over 64,000
First u/s on 5/10= TWINS! Heartbeats 158 and 160!
It's a boy and a girl!

    Sweet Baby James Born 3/2013
    Decided to be "One and Done"

    ....OR NOT.
    Pregnant 12/2018 despite birth control pills
    Here we go again...
    Due 8/26/19!

    MFI, Lap on 7/21/11 - Stage III/IV Endo and Polyps removed by D&C
    IVF #1 with ICSI - ER 1/20 (16R, 12M, 10F), ET 1/23 (1-10 cell and 1-8cell transferred), BFP on 1/31 Beta #1 on 2/3 = 68, Beta #2 on 2/6 = 261 EDD 10/12/12  
    Baby girl born 9/22/12

    FET #1 - 9/16/13 - BFN

    IVF #2 - ER 11/11/13 (24R, 18M, 16F), ET 11/16 (2 Grade A blasts)
    BFP on 11/23 Beta #1 = 76 EDD 8/2/14

    Yeah, I have no "faith" in fortunes anymore. I got a few fortunes from fortune cookies that said things along the line of "something you've waited a long time for will happen for you soon," and "a surprise is on its way." Hardy-har-har-har... lot of bull crap those were!

    Start Augmentin- antibiotic prep
    08/06/13: Monitoring: 13 follicles (18mm, 17mm, rest b/w 15mm-16mm!) Ready to trigger!! E2- 2,248

    08/11/13: One fertilized late, we now have 11 embryos!

    **8/29/13: Follow up... bad fragmentation issues. Changing protocol to Antagonist for round #2 coming soon! Also started on 81mg Aspirin after getting blood panel done and found out I have PAI-1**

    IVF w/ICSI #2 (Antagonist Protocol)
    BCPs started back in Sept due to cysts
    10/27/13: Start stims (225 IUs Gonal-F + 75 IUs Menopur)
    11/03/13 - 11/05/13: Add Ganirelix to the mix
    11/06/13: 3 follicles at 18mm-- Ready to trigger!
    11/08/13: ER-- 17R, 13M, 8F
    11/13/13: 5dt-- 2 blasts (Luke and Leia) 5AB and 4AB, 1 frostie
    11/20/13- 11/23/13: light positives on FRERs and Wondofos
    11/22/13: BFN per RE office (under HCG of 10)
    11/27/13: CP ::sigh::

    *12/03/13: Follow up...great response and quality this time, was given 50% chance of it working, just didn't stick. Great plan for 2014! 

    **Jan 2014: Last IVF of our SRP**
    IVF w/ICSI, freeze all, then FET
    12/27/13: Start BCPs
    01/19/14: Stims (375 IUs Gonal-F + 75 IUs Menopur)

    DH made me look at it from a different perspective, and I guess it makes sense when I take into account the events leading up to that.

    A good friend called to tell me that she was pregnant. She's a little older than me, and had been wanting to try but kept having setbacks in her life. She's one of the most amazing people I've ever met, so I'm thrilled that she is pregnant, but sad for myself. After I got off the phone with her, I prayed and kind of begged God to give us a miracle this month so we don't have to do IVF. Or if we do end up needing it, that it will work in one try. So next I went to the store, and I was just wandering around looking and happened to pick that book up. I do believe that it is reassurance from God that children are in our plan. I just don't know when or how it will happen, but it WILL happen.

    I love my hubby so much. He always seems to get me to see things positively. I really need that right now.

    Your hubby sounds like mine. Whenever I am in a funk he always tries to show me the logical side of things. I am trying to hold on to faith that God does have his time for us. I just really hope His plans do include children for me... sometimes I doubt it and it scares me.

    ((hugs)) I know it's scary. The only way for me to be ok is to keep hanging onto the hope, no matter how hard it is. I go back and forth constantly, and it's exhausting. Ready for all is who've been here so long to catch a break!
