Lots of extra fluid

I'm measuring ahead...so much so that I had to have an extra ultrasound to make sure that everything is normal. Everything was fine, but my doctor told me that I need to cover my mattress and have towels ready for the car.  She said that there's a lot of extra amniotic fluid, and that I will definitely know when my water breaks.

Anyone else have a lot of extra amniotic fluid?

    Wow...I'm only 28 weeks so I haven't really been measured yet.  I feel like I'm ahead.  I almost had to laugh at what the dr recommended though.  I had a friend whose water broke during a movie and when her husband asked for towels because his wife's water broke, the kid handed him a cup.  He thought the husband meant her cup of water broke...unfortunately for that poor 16 yr old boy that was not what happened.

    Haha! Poor kids gonna be traumatized for life:)

    YES! I have A LOT of fluid called polyhydramnios and for me I have so much that my uterus is already expanded as much as possible so I keep going into preterm labor. I have contractions everyday! It sucks but im hoping for a slow leak so that I dont deliver too early! Good luck! They told us immediately get to the hospital as soon as your water breaks because you have so much it could make the cord come out before he can get his head down there and then I would have to have a c-section. lol but nothing funny like that yet!
