So I noticed that they finally changed the hot topics a few days ago. Has anyone read the 'when to have sex after delivery' thread?
https://community.thebump.com/cs/ks/forums/thread/59916365.aspx
There is a girl on there (who posts a couple of times on the thread) claiming that she and her partner had sex THREE DAYS after she delivered!! THREE DAYS!!
I don't even have words for this......

I haven't read very far, but I'm also giving the side eye to the girl who had sex 3 days pp. But that's because she also said that she only gained 8 pounds with her pregnancy and the baby was 8 pounds.
Not believable at all, IMO.
Yeah I don't believe that either. I know some folks don't wait for the dr's clearance, but c'mon. Three days sounds ridiculous for a variety of reasons.
A friend of mine said her L&D nurse told her you would be surprised at how many couples they walk in on doing it in the hospital post birth.
Can you even imagine!?!?!?!?!?!? I mean - first of all - WHO does that????? I cannot even imagine anything getting that close to that area within hours of delivery. Second of all - ewwwwww!!!!!!!! Definitely my least attractive point in life. Bleeding, mesh panties, stitches, hemis. Seriously? And I'm pretty sure even if I'd been in the mood, DH would have run far, far away if I'd even mentioned it.
People are cuh-razy!
OMG. I would have DIED if DH even TRIED to touch me 3 days PP. I had stitches and pain and oh hell no.
I will say that there was a nurse in L&D when I was giving birth who had a 7-month-old baby and was 6 months pregnant. Yikes. I would say at 1 month PP I was still not ready to tour Singapore.
My mom had a friend who told her that she and her DH had sex at the hospital after she delivered her daughter.
The highlighted reasons above would definitely be enough to bar me from even considering letting DH into the hospital bed with me. And like you said, he would have given me the cray-cray look if I'd suggested it.
That link doesn't take me to the thread, so I can't read the post, but I can't even imagine wanting to do it 3 days after delivery, personally.
Is it different for c-section mommas maybe? I still can't even imagine with all the bleeding and soreness and stitches.
