update...!

Thanks for all the warm welcomes - it is true, this board is so supportive and great!

We did tell both DH's parents and mine on Thanksgiving Day, and everyone was totally excited and thrilled about the news. DH's mom cried and got very emotional (which is her way!) and my family was super happy too. My dad got a little choked up and said how proud he was of us. My sis & BIL told my 3yr old niece that she was going to be getting a cousin and her response was "will she have toys?" Hee!

DH and I have an intro class to go to next Wed at the agency we'll be working with - it's the required first step before the home study, etc. We are looking forward to that.

And in other news... our lawyer called yesterday to say that he has a BM who wants to speak to us... already! I cannot believe it! She is due in March. I am not getting my hopes up at ALL (well, trying not to) because I know realistically that the chance of the very first match being the one that comes through is very small. And she will likely be speaking to several prospective adoptive parents. But still it is exciting! I tried to call her this morning but she was at a doctor's appt, so I will try her again later. NERVOUS!!

Aww!!! That is so awesome how supportive your family is! I love that. GL with the BM, you never know what may happen and even if it turns out to not be an exact match, at least you will know what to look for and what to ask.
