I wanted to save money, so I took photos of the kids myself yesterday in the living room. Sure...they're not the best, but I think they'll do. I need to pick two for the Christmas card I've designed.
I like number one the best. As for the ones with both of them, I think it would depend on the composition of the rest of the card to see which one looked right.
On a side note (not meaning to criticize) but it looks a bit obvious the background was cropped. Maybe you could try less of a contrast by darkening the background a bit, adding a texture, or do light at the top and fade darker towards the bottom. You could also try leaving the original background in, but desaturate and blur it; it'll put the focus on your cute kids! I know you weren't asking for opinions on this, but these techniques have helped when trying to make my pics look more professional.

I totally agree. The original background had the cat's head in it (he would not get away from the kids) and it looked horrible. Not that this looks any better with the cropping effort. lol Meh. I will try a few other methods to make it look better (thanks for the suggestions), or I will attempt to take another photo of them together minus the cat's head.
Re: Help me choose Christmas pics! PIP
#1 is also one of my favorites. The one of both the kids is hard to choose.
Hmmm...
Same here.
#1 and #4 my dear!
I also wanted to tell you that in chat I said Xander and Lydia would make a cute couple
Ha! That they would! : )
I am finishing up laundry, and should be in chat in a few...
