Anyone had a stranger ask when you are due/try to touch your tummy yet?

I haven't. I was just curious Big Smile To me I look super pregnant, but I guess I probably don't to anyone who doesn't know.

  • I've had them ask if they can touch my tummy with my first. I really don't care. But, that's just me.

I loved having my tummy touched.

  • Not a stranger, but a friend of mine touched (no asking, just touching.). Awkward bc I'm not really showing yet, it just looks like a bit of pudge, so it was like she was touching my fat.  It was weird.

  • I have had one person ask when I was due but no one has tried to touch my belly yet.
  • I had a coworker rub my belly and it was really awkward.  I'm not into people touching me at work, so I think I had a totally surprised look on my face when she did it.
  • I had a co-worker who I am not close to go in for a belly rub. I am afraid that was the first of many personal space violations to come. I guess it was better than a stranger, but still not the best.

  • lots of stranger touches, the first one really shocked my husband i thought he was going to punch the guy, asked daily when i'm due, and the worst is when people guess, the most popular guess of this week, is January, when i say no probably April, they say wow you are huge.

happy to say it doesn't bother me yet, just kinda funny.

  • Not yet, but I'm fully prepared to return rub any unsolicited tummy action.
  • To strangers, I definitely don't look pregnant yet.  A couple of my friends have touched my belly, but it doesn't bother me at all.  A stranger touching it might be a different story though ...
  • It's highly likely that I'll hit anyone who tries to touch my tummy. It hasn't happened yet. Just call me the Wicked B!tch of the East.

    Woke up. Still queen.
  • I haven't had any comments or belly touches from strangers yet. I feel like I definitely look pregnant but I guess I don't to people who don't know me.

  • This is going to sound really weird, but when I was pg with DS I was really sick and lost 25 lbs.  I didn't have any sort of a belly until the end of the pg.  Well a girl at work who I am pretty close with had the same due date as me and popped pretty early on.  She use to joke around and tell me I could touch her belly if I wanted to.  It turned into our little joke that I'm sure really confused other co-workers...he he he!
  • I haven't yet, but I'm not looking forward to any rubs! I look forward to someone asking me when I'm due because then I'll know I look PG to everyone else and not just me!

  • Yes! It has to be the most awkward thing ever! The other night an old lady stopped me on the street and asked to touch the bump. I even had one of my professors asked if he could touch it. Uhhhhh, "Only if you give me an A...?" Seriously. I was so weirded out by that. Oh, and no I didn't let him. I told FI and we both agreed that it was uber creepy.

  • I have had a stranger ask when I was due but have not had any random belly rubs.  I'll be breaking fingers if someone gets too close.  Leave my belly alone!
  • This is exactly how I feel.  I feel like I'm huge-- but not one person has said anything to me.  I wonder if the people who know me just think I'm packing on the pounds. :-  I'm not sure how I feel about belly rubs-- it feels like a bursting water balloon, so at least the belly isn't squishy. :-)

I'm looking forward to people realizing it's a baby and not just holiday pig-out...

  • Nobody has asked me about my due date. I'm not really showing much though. That being said, I won't even ask an obviously 9 months pregnant woman about her pregnancy. I am terrified of having them not be pregnant...you just never know!

As for the tummy touching. I really couldn't care less. I deal with so many unfriendly people in my life, when someone is doing something out of kindness, I welcome it with open arms. Kindness should be rewarded with kindness.

Haha....I've already mentally prepared myself to "forehead palm" anyone that tries this. If we don't normally hug and such, don't start touching me now ;-)

  • I did when I was about 9w pregnant.  It wasn't a complete stranger.  It was a co-worker, but someone I only know in passing who decided one night while I was waiting for a friend to finish she needed to rest her head on my gut and talk to my baby.  Kinda freaky.  So glad I don't see her often or work with her.  Get a cringe every time I see her afraid she will want to touch me.  She said that she loves pregnant bellies and talking to babies.  Here's hoping I can avoid her til the baby gets here.
