Hi Everyone -
We just found out we're pregnant with our second and since I completely swore off the last medical center / obgyn office we used for our first pregnancy I'm in the market for a new OBGYN. Ideally I'd like a doctor who will follow me through my pregnancy and be there for the delivery. I understand that chances are I'll see at least one other doctor in the office just because people get sick, take vacations and have to be at the hospital for other births but during my first pregnancy it was a rarity that I'd see the same doctor more than once. This made for a very disjointed and inconsistent experience. Also despite my wishes to have a "natural / vaginal" birthing experience, LO didn't cooperate and after 58 hours of failed induction after being a week and a half "late" he had to be delivered via c-section. Regardless of my failed first attempt, I would still like to attempt a vaginal delivery with our second. I know a lot of doctors refuse to do anything but a c once one has already been done, but I know there has to be a few doctors out there that would be a good match for me. Anyone have any recommendations for a good OB/GYN in the Indianapolis area? We live on the south side but I'd be willing to travel a little for a great doc.
Thanks!

I see Dr. Cleary at Northside OB/GYN. I know that throughout my pregnancy I will see his other 2 partners, who are also amazing. He made it very clear to me that they try their best to be there for all of their own deliveries. I am lucky that I will be induced at 38-39 weeks, so we can schedule around his being available. I am not sure about the VBAC, but you could always call the office and talk to them. The office staff is very friendly and helpful and knowledgable!
I am driving from the SW side of Indy to see this group. Its about a 40 min drive, but I believe it will be well worth the drive! Plus, St.Vincent womens has an amazing NICU! Heaven forbid any of us ladies need it, but if we did they are a great group of RN's, RT's, MD's, etc!
