I took that during my whole first pregnancy. Again, there should be a nurse on call that you can call at your OB office to ask just to make sure it's safe in the first 3 months. Tylenol PM is the best!
I took it during my first trimester and my little ones seem to be doing just great.
Edit: If you are just having trouble sleeping (no pain) I would suggest plain benadryl or unisom. No need to take a pain reliever if you don't need it. Good luck!

I take unisom. Takes the edge off my nausea for most of the next day, too.
It's interesting how some of your doctors say 'yes' to the Tylenol PM & some say 'no.' So which one is it? lol. My doctor's medication sheet said any Tylenol products are fine. I took a Tylenol PM once during the 1st trimester, but have only since then used regular Tylenol for headaches.
Definitely call your doctor & find out what he/she recommends, though.
diphenhydramine (Benadryl, Unisom) is pregnancy class B as are most drugs that are safe for pregnancy. Def talk to your doc as only they know your whole medical history and other medications you are on. I agree with PP though, if you don't need the Tylenol part then just take unisom.

My dr said no to the pm version I think that things in moderation might be the key on things like this. I mean every new generation we learn something the previous did wrong.
I've been told in both pregnancies that it's perfectly safe. You can also take Benadryl to sleep (safe) which can also help with your cold symptoms. Feel better
My OB is perfectly fine with me taking Tylenol PM at any time during my pregnancy. It's strange how different doctors say different things are safe or not.
