Tired of waiting...

My visit with the RE in Sept. really set me back, but also pushed me forward. I thought DH and I can do this without their help, now I am re-thinking that. It took me 8 months to get pregnant the first time (normal), DH and I have been TTC for almost 17 months without a BFP. That is not normal. For some reason I was trying to tell myself that it is just taking us a little longer, but I no longer believe that.

I need some encouragement here. Tell me I can find a RE that will work with me, and all my weight issues. Since my appointment with douchebagRE I have lost close to 25 lbs. Now that isn't enough for the douche, but I am getting somewhere, right? I don't really know the point of this post, so sorry if it doesn't make sense to you. It doesn't really make sense to me either.

Happy December girls, I for one, am glad November is gone and 2011 is almost over.

First off.. I want to congratulate you for losing 25lbs..thats great! That is just plain silly that your RE wont work with you. I do believe you can find one that will. Keep the faith...as hard as that is...I know. ((HUGS))

Congrats on the weight loss...you are awesome! And I know you will be able to find an RE who will work with you. That one was HORRIBLE and I still can't believe all you went through there. I know what you mean about 2011. I'm happy it's almost over also. 2012 just has to be our year, right??!

I sent 2 emails to different practices. I just laid it out there and ask there stance on over weight patients. I did this in September, I just made an appointment with one. Here I am back at square one, feeling scared!

Congrats on the weight loss! I would be aggressive in finding an RE who is willing to work with you- I'm sure they're out there somewhere! The fact that you've made outstanding progress (it's takes me forever to even lose a couple pounds) should be icing on the cake for any RE! GL hon Smile

I truly think there is a RE out there that will help you. Keep looking until you do and tell them straight up what you need. If they don't like it take your business elsewhere. They do work for you after all.

I couldn't agree more! Hopefully the RE you have your appt with will be the one to help you get pregnant. Once you find the right doctor for you I guarantee you'll wish you had seen someone sooner. It is so great to have a doctor totally in your corner, whose goal is to get you pregnant!

Losing 25 lbs. is a FANTASTIC accomplishment!!!! Even if you want to lose more, 25 lbs. is a great, great thing and you should be so proud of yourself.

I am sure that there is a RE out there who will work with you. And even if they want you to lose more weight before serious treatment, I am sure you can find a compassionate and caring RE. I know at my RE they have someone sho will work with people on a weight loss plan (although, you are doing super on your own), but they don't treat you like a second class citizen.

I am hopeful that December will be better and the New Year will bring fantastic things for you!! Again, I am so impressed with your weight loss. It makes me motivated to get moving myself!!
