Anyone else test long after BFP?

I feel so silly but it's been 4 weeks since our BFP and I just took an HPT.

I had a pretty big stash when we got our BFP and it's not like something I do every day. But seeing the two lines and how fast and dark the test line is now gives me a weird sense of comfort. I know that doesn't really make sense since even if we did lose the baby I'd probably test positive for a while after that. But it does make me feel better and I figure if it gives me a little peace, what does it hurt?

Am I alone in my craziness or did anyone else do that?

    I took pregnancy tests for awhile...  I was told I was miscarrying, so seeing the two lines every day helped me, especially when they continued to get darker every day.

    I stopped when I ran out and I came very close to buying more, but my DH stopped me.

    You're not crazy at all!  I just got my BFP yesterday but I totally plan on testing every now and then....who knows if the nervousness goes away, but I think, like you, I will be comforted by seeing those two pink lines Big Smile

    Yes. Guilty. I tested a few weeks ago at 13w just to see what would happen and the line was really dark but still not as dark as the control line. So it just goes to show you, that the darkness of lines still doesn't matter and everyone metabolizes the pregnancy hormone differently.

    It's not crazy but it is pointless. I had a miscarriage and the HCG can remain in your system for 4-6 weeks after a loss. So just because you pee on a stick today it does not guarantee anything beside the presence of the hormone.

     Put the sticks away.

     I tested for three days straight and I have also tested later on. After I used all my hpt (about 5 of them) I wanted to try out opks. Last one I used was last weekend. Seeing such a dark line right away is just plain awesome to me. I still have some more opks left.....hmmmmm...I might still use them just for fun.

    I've realized I have a problem when my bathroom garbage can is overflowing with a variety of HPT boxes. I find it comforting as well after having to CPs to see that line clearly darker and darker each day.
