  Any fruit juice will have a lot of sugar in it and not the fiber that the real fruit has. It's not super bad but if they have it a lot it can affect their teeth. And it doesn't have any nutritional benefit. But if she wants to give them juice make sure it's 100% juice. And I usually water DD's down, just put a little bit of juice in.

  I wonder if it is from the extraction process as the seeds of apples have high levels of arsenic (hence not good to eat).  I limit my kids' intact of juice already so this just kind of reaffirms that decision.  Makes me also want to look at cranberry or OJ, some "safer" alternative.

  Dilute the juice.  Or move to a different kind.  Brands won't matter I don't think.

  The thing that gets me is that it doesn't say whether it is organic or inorganic arsenic. They even say in the article I quoted that you find arsenic in water, soil, etc as well.
