I'm creating a new thread so those who sort via thread date will get this as well.

If you would like to volunteer to host the holiday party, please post dates you have available and I'll create a poll.

This year I believe the location is north.

What does hosting entail? I've never been to one of the holiday gtg's so I'm not sure what y'all do. That being said I could host the 10th or 11th in southern PF.

I also haven't been to one so am not sure what it entails but I can host in Avery/Brushy Creek area on the 11th, 17th or 18th during the day or the evening on the 16th.

Hosting is making your home available for us to crash.

The host can choose to provide cups, plates, utensils or have someone sign up to bring them. Everyone brings a dish or drink.

There is usually a voluntary toy drive as well.

We have an optional white elephant-style gift swap valued around $10, so the time can get a bit lengthy.

Children typically don't come unless they are infant or breastfed.

I had also volunteered to host on the 17th, but if others are able to host that same day, I will gladly withdraw my house from the running

I think FCB summed it up well. I live near the arboretum and I can host of the afternoon of the 10th, the 17th or 18th.
