Maternity Clothing Question

My bump is getting a little big for the full panel on my maternity pants.  I'm actually getting a groove in my belly from it (and my bump is all kinda of sweaty under there now, so sexy...).  I'm rolling it down under my bump, which isn't too comfy either.

How are you wearing your pants?  What is your staple item for work... and for lounging?

Re: Maternity Clothing Question

  • I wear a demi panel to work and just wear my prepregnancy yoga pants at home.  My jeans have a higher panel but it's not uncomfortable yet.

  • I'm wearing under the belly pants at work, but they are not very comfortable, either.  The elastic band keeps folding and getting crunched up under my bump which is not pleasant, and I am constantly hiking them up.  Good times; gotta love 3rd tri.

At home, it's yoga pants all the way.  I actually just ordered some more yoga pants during the Old Navy Black Friday sale because I know I'll wear them a lot for the next several months (they are great for post-partum, too).

  • The full panel has been cutting in to the top of my belly too! I just started noticing this the other day. I bought new maternity jeans that have a thinner material for the panel, and I find them to be a lot less restrictive. :)
  • My full panel pants are not bothering me at all...do you think you may just need a different size? (That sounds so rude, but really it's not meant to be!) Both of my most comfortable maternity pants are from Target, the panels feel awesome. I bought an expensive pair of jeans from Anne Taylor with the half panel and those are huge! They're always falling down. I definitely recommend the Target brand (oddly enough, pre-pregnancy Target brand pants never fit me right, while Anne Taylor was always a match...so I've been really surprised at the reversal now.)

  • I have full panel pants and wear them over my belly, but they're still stretchy enough that they don't feel restrictive.  I wear pajama or yoga pants when I get home.

  • I wear full panel work pants and jeans and haven't had any issues. Maybe the panel on your pants isn't thin enough?

At home I wear either PJ bottoms or yoga pants.

  • Mine feels like it's cutting off the bump's circulation. I have been rolling it down too. We don't have much longer and I really don't want to go buy more jeans, so I'm hoping this works for 10 more weeks.

  • I'm wearing full panel maternity jeans from target.  They are not uncomfortable at all...  well now that I went a few sizes up.  I gained a lot of weight and my legs were like little sausages...  But even in the smaller size the panel didn't bother me at all.

  • I wear full panel ones from Motherhood and they are still fitting comfortably over my bump--they easiest way for me to keep mine from rolling is tucking the top under my bra--I actually just started using the panel in full mode--prior to I had been folding it over, but now because my belly is big I get a noticeable line under my tops.
  • I love my full panel pants.  Are you sure yours are full panel?  They sound like demi's to me, seeing as they are hitting at your belly button?  Anyways, I have what I think they call the "secret belly" pants for jeans and dress pants.  They basically look like I have a be band attached at the top, just smooth lycra, no real band to be found.

  • I love my full panel dress pants from Motherhood, so comfortable and I don't see why the panel won't stay comfortable for the rest of my pregnancy.  My maternity jeans are a whole other story, they are not full panel and I feel like I'm always having to hike them up.

  • All yoga pants all the time here. :)

  • My full panel pants come right below my bra and I have never had a problem with them, they are sooooooo comfortable, I prefer them. (Most are from motherhood and the panel is very thin stretchy fabric) I do have a pair that has a thicker panel that falls about mid belly which is less comfortable, although I still wear them. Unless pants are stretchy like yoga pants, I don't like the low cut ones at all. The elastic always feels like it is pressing on my bladder.

  • All of my maternity pants are full panel, but they make my belly so itchy!  I usually roll or fold them down so they sit under the bump to make them more comfortable.
