Bruised nipple?

I'm away from LO & have been pumping around the clock for 2 1/2 days now. I feel Ike the outer edges of my nipple are bruised- a little sore and a little purple. Is it just adjusting to the EP lifestyle of the week?  I usually only pump 2 or 3x a day four days a week, so it's definately a change.  Any tips to make this more pleasant?

    I dont have an answer for you but hoping someone does as i have the same issue on my left one, the top half of it is blue/purple after pumping and i notice that no milk sprays out of that half as well. I called a lactation specialist yesterday and she thought maybe the flange size was wrong- i dont think that is it, and i'm going to meet with her on Monday to see if she can figure something else out..
