AW-NBR Our first Christmas tree!

We'll have been married for 3 years this December, but this is our first Christmas tree, and I decorated it all by myself! My husband was the only one tall enough to climb on a chair and put the star at the top, so that's a bit crooked Big Smile, but at least he did it. He didn't want anything to do with the tree, but now that it's up he always wants to go to the living room, hang out and talk, to "enjoy the Christmas tree."

And my MIL gave me the best compliment: our tree is one she gave us because she said she's  not decorating for Christmas anymore, and she's moving from a house to an apartment, so a tree that big doesn't make sense to her any more. When she saw it up and decorated with my brand new ornaments, she said: now I want it back!!! Hahahaha

I feel so proud of myself!

    Well I wanted to see it so I copied and pasted it into a new window...so pretty!  I love the red ribbon!  And the MOOSE!!!

    We'll be doing our first tree this year, as well, since our DD is 2-1/2 and might actually notice.  We're only getting a mini tree and I bought lots of mini ornaments and a strand of lights for it.  For now, we keep it simple because we want to make a holiday tradition of picking a new decoration or something.

    Christmas is my mom's FAVORITE holiday. I am so grateful for that too. Starting when we were born she gave my 2 sisters & I one new ornament a year. And we would also bring an ornament home from any trip we took. We all had our own box we decorated to keep our ornaments in we got to take them when we moved out. The 1st year DH and I were together I was so excited to show him my favorites and tell him about some of them. We always put our initial and the year we got them on the back or bottom. I plan to have a tradition like that with my kids.
