Those who have had a tubal and methotrexate

How long did you bleed? What was the cramping and bleeding like (heavy, normal period, etc)? How long did it take for your numbers to go back to normal? Also, what was your doctor's opinion as to how long you had to wait before trying again?

I had an ectopic at 5w4d. A day after the surgery, my HCG was 2600 and I got my shot of meth. A week later, my HCG was down to 310. I just had it done again and haven't gotten my results yet, but hope it's lower.

I started bleeding about 3 days after the meth shot. It was a pretty heavy period, for me. But it was like a normal period and only lasted 5-6 days.

My Dr advised waiting at least 3 months to try again to let my body heal. I did not have my tube removed, it was just cut & sewn back together.

I can't really answer your questions but I did have a tubal earlier this month. I wasn't given methotrexate though, I had surgery to remove my tube. After surgery I spotted for five days and then hadva pretty heavy flow for 4 days that tapered off to nothing by day 7. My levels were at 0 about 10 days after surgery but they weren't very high to begin with.

My RE is okay with only waiting one cycle. Although I'm not sure what the wait is with methotrexate.

I had surgery first and then my numbers weren't going to 0 so i had a couple rounds of methotrexate. I bled on and off throughout those few weeks. I had to have a hysterosalpingogram (sp?) at 3 months after my ectopic to make sure my tubes were clear before trying again.
