Question on Bib's

This may be a dumb question but I am curious to know until about what age do you use bib's?

Re: Question on Bib's

  • We've been using them for the past 2 months. My guy spits up so much, it has drastically cut down on laundry because now he just dirties the bib instead of his outfit.

  • I just started to use them all day probably last week. She spits up a lot more now and she's a drool machine so yeah bibs are a must for us right now

  • We've been using them since nearly day 1. She has some acid reflux so unless I want to change her clothes every two minutes I have to have one on her.

  • We've been using them pretty much everyday for the past 2 months or so because of DD's drooling.  It's also nice to "catch" any spit up.  I'd rather change bibs than change her clothes.

  • My sister has a 3 yr old and they still use them, especially for something messy like spaghetti.

  • We've used them since he started eating from a bottle around 2-3w.

I greatly prefer the Carter's teething bibs.  They have a layer of plastic in between two layers of fabric.  The plastic keeps the underside (and thus LO and his clothes) clean and dry.  He drools and spits up a lot, so keeping him dry without a bib is a challenge.  Also, they wash up soft, so you forget that they have a layer of plastic inside.  The BRU brand bibs are fine, but they don't have the plastic.  The velcro also wears out quickly on the BRU bibs.  However, they are super absorptive.

We've also used the Tommy Tippee bibs that are designed with a thicker neck to absorb milk spills.  While they work well, they're really too small for my baby's neck and were too small for him from the beginning.  This was odd as most other brands were too big.
