So, if the babies aren't feeling overly modest, I should find out the sexes a couple of days before Christmas. We'll be leaving to go to our respective families for the holidays either the day of or day after my appt. I don't think DH will be able to come with me so I want to have the tech write down their sexes and seal in an envelope......then what?!?!
I thought about having 2 cupcakes with Baby A/Baby B written on top and then we could cut into them (hence the request for bakeries) but I'm open to any other ideas.
I don't know if it will just be me and DH finding out together and then we'll tell our families when we see them or if we'll wait to find out together when we get to my family in Dallas and then just tell his family when we get to PA.
I'd love some creative ideas! Thanks!
Re: RR/GT Bakery recs & need gender reveal ideas
I love the idea of using helium balloons like this:
The only good bakery I know of in RR is cuban, so I don't think they do cupcakes at all
I took the envelope up to Carters. I then picked out a little brother/little sister outfit. I took everything up to the cashier handed her a $20. I told her I would be back in 5 mins. I asked her to open the envelope then purchase the right outfit. Then had her put the outfit/envelope/change/recepit all in a gift box. When DH and I were home together we let my then 2year old open the gift. It was such a special moment for all three of us.
Later we did special gender reveals with each of our families. We did a christmas present scavenger hunt. There was a gift under the tree address to one person in the family with a clue inside. First one said "Games are neat and this is sure to be fun head to the place 32 below." (the frezzer) There was the same kind of a box with someone elses name on it with another clue around the house. This continued until we got to the person we wanted to be the first to find out. (my dad for my side and his mom for his side) They recieved a gift with a picture of my first born with her name on it, then a picture of my 2nd born with her name on it and then a Frame with "Baby Girl/Boy Coming July 2011". It was a big hit. You could make the text Pink or Blue.

Our reveal was very much like this.
