Stamford or Greenwich Obgyn reco's

Hi I'm moving to Stamford next month and am in need of an OBGYN. I am hoping for someone experienced in cerclage procedures as I may need one after a leep excision done years ago.

Also is Stamford hospital a good hospital to deliver in or are their other recommendations?

 Thanks!

Greenwich Hospital is the best! Of course, that's just IMO but I feel they are on top of everything....quick when needed.  I had a bad experience with Stamford Hospital, not being pregnant, but sometimes you just have one bad experience and then you don't go back.  I also live in Greenwich so that's what drove my choice.  I'm not sure what procedures you are talking about but I do like Putnam OB/GYN in Greenwich...on the Post Road.

    Good luck!

I'm also moving to CT (Greenwich), and I got a recommendation for Putnam OB/GYN.  Any docs there in particular you like?

I liked Dr. Hung.....she took a few visits to warm up...at first some of them are very quick, but you get to know them and they then take their time, and she was very gentle and sympathetic!

I LOVE LOVE LOVE my OBGYN  who helped through a micarriage, genetic issues, polyps bleeding, bedrest and finally a healthy baby boy.

Dr Lisa Dishongh.  The practice is located on first floor of Stamford Hospital, too, near free valet parking!

Thanks for all the recommendations! It's such an important decision that it's great to get some first hand feedback.

I recommend Dr. Gennaro/Ghrofany and Cahill in Stamford.  They work with a high risk specialist (Dr. Viscarello).  I had my cerclage put in with him this time around.  They were tremendous with me with my first unexpected loss.  So, now I'm seeing them and the high risk Doctor.  Dr. Ghrofany (female) was my first doctor but the other two are just as nice, knowledgeable and comfortable.  You should definitely do a consultation.  They are on Summer Street in Stamford.  Only affiliated with Stamford Hospital though.  Hope that helps.

THIS THIS THIS!!! I am moving to NJ and plan to travel to CT just to keep them as my OB practice. They only deliver at Stamford Hospital, but I really had a good experience there.

Obstetrics & Gynecology Associates in Stamford is great.  Their office is located right within Stamford Hosp, which is convenient for testing and delivery.  I personally see Dr. Hoffman, who is fantastic, but the whole practice seems nice.  Based on this experience and what I have heard, I am looking forward to delivering at Stamford too.
