My baby is 2 mons, it started out that I was completely against co-sleeping, then I knew she needed me, the first couple days she was out of her element and needed me, those days turned into weeks and now its been 2 months. She only falls asleep in my arms or in bed next to me, typically while nursing.... not with the rocking chair, not in bed on her own.
When she falls asleep I will move her into the bassinet or leave the room and let her sleep on the bed, and 10-15 mins later she's awake again!! She does have a long stretch between 12:30-1:30am- 5-6am
I need some advice, tips, etc.... I need to get her to go to sleep, and stay asleep in her own area. Any advice is very much appreciated!
PS She has colic at night too, so that makes things even harder :-/
Re: Baby sleeps 10 mins at a time.... and I became a co-sleeper, HELP!
I agree with this. For these next few months I would rather do what is comfortable for LO than what is comfortable for me (within reason, of course!) That means I've gone to bed with DS as early as 9:00 before. This won't last forever. We moved DD out of the bed by 6 months and started sleep training her in her crib. And TBH, I miss those days of snuggling with DD and waking up to her angelic face. So right now I'm enjoying that time with DS. Soon your DD won't want to snuggle in bed with you and you'll be on here complaining about that!
I'm in the same situation! As soon as I put my baby girl down she wakes up. She has to be held constantly while sleeping and I don't understand it. H says that after Christmas we are going to put her in her cradle and if she cries then she cries. And that just breaks my heart.
As for your LOs colic, have you tried the nutrigem lipil? Our LO has been on it for a few weeks now and she seems like a totally different baby. She is so much happier now and only fusses when she is hungry, need a diaper change, tired or bc we put her down so she could sleep. You should def try it if you haven't yet. Sorry I can't help on the sleep situation.
