DS has been napping in his swing since he was about 3w old. He does all of his nighttime sleep in his crib, but naps have been in the swing.
This week, I've been working in getting him to nap in his crib. Naps in the crib are only lasting 30-40 minutes. He's swaddled and has the sleep sheep going. I went in after 30 to hold his legs down in case he was jolting himself awake, but he woke up before the jolting began.
I don't know if it's a matter of getting used to it, though I wouldn't think so because it's not a new sleep surface for him. I also can't get him to continue/finish his nap in the crib after he wakes, he is MAD! I try to give him his paci to calm him down but it doesn't work. He's been finishing his nap in his swing. Im not sure if I should end the nap if he refuses to go back down, rock him back to sleep or put him in his swing.
Any thoughts/ideas/suggestions? I'm desperate to get him napping in his crib as napping in his swing (in the living room) is not ideal, especially with the holidays coming up.
Why can't there be a manual for each baby telling us exactly what works??
