  Highlight what text you want the link attached to, then the link button will appear.

  Thanks for the help -- it's still not working.  I can highlight the text and the link icon pops up, but when I click on it, there is no pop-up window. I do not have the pop-up blocker on... help!

  What browser do you use?

  In my experience, The bump is an arsehole and will only do right by me if I use Firefox.
