I caved!! I know it's so stupid to spend too too much money on maternity clothes because they are only for a specific amount of time and if/when I get PG again in the future they may be out of style.....buuuuuut...I bought a pair of Seven maternity jeans. I had to!!! I felt gross in the other ones I've bought and need to feel like I can still look cute. Can anyone commiserate? Can anyone tell me it's ok and that they totally understand? TIA b/c I really need some support...
I'm so lame... :-)
Re: Someone please tell me it's ok...
Pretty much this.
I can commiserate! I hate my maternity pants
They leave this "pouch" because I carry so low, I feel like I look ridiculous, so I always end up wearing long shirts. If DH would go with it, I'd be buying Sevens in no time! (as long as I could deal with the guilt...I've had major pregnancy guilt lately!)
I say, wear 'em proud!
If you have the money to spend, I don't judge you. That goes for anything, not just jeans. DH bought me a Coach diaper bag and I don't feel at all guilty about how much it cost.

FWIW, you can get Seven (and any other designer) maternity jeans on ebay for a reasonable price. I don't shop on ebay too often, but for clothes that I am only going to wear for a short amount of time, I have looked there more than once.

I see no harshness in this thread.
This. I just refuse to spend $ when I will never wear them again.
I hope to be sick and tired and despise my limited maternity wardrobe come March as motivation to get my a$$ back in shape
I do understand the need to feel good. It's going to be hard to feel confident when I am a walking blimp... Expensive jeans won't help me personally with that, I would just feel worse for spending the money.
yeaaah this
When it comes to clothes in general - I am super cheap lol. Buuuut, we all have the things in life that makes us happy. For me it just happens to be electronics. If you have the money and it makes you feel good *shrug*!
Totally agree with this PP...
I have bought 2 pairs of maternity jeans: 1 from gap ($40) and 1 from old navy ($20). I'm not into "designer" labels so I have no idea how much Seven jeans would cost..
As long as you and your SO/DH are okay with the cost, then rock them!!

What Sheveen and Salt said...
I have a accumulated a lot of Sevens, Citzens, etc. over the years, but still couldn't justify spending $200 on their maternity version. I bought 2 pairs of A Pea in the Pod brand jeans and IMO they look pretty good. I ended up spending around $70 total as I had a coupon. I've also heard of have a seamstress sew in a band to a pair of your regular jeans. I may try this with a pair that was a little big on me pre-pregnancy...

oh I notice! ;-)
I'm in on the Seven splurge! Mine was a dress from Nordstroms which I'll wear once for a wedding then probably never again.
I justify it with "once the baby comes - this will HAVE to stop" right? RIGHT????
If you want them and can afford them get them!!! I've had a difficult time finding work maternity pants, and I think the ones at Motherhood Maternity are uncomfortable and cheap. My DH keeps saying "Well comfort doesn't really matter since you only have to wear them a few months." Heck yes comfort matters considering this is probably the most uncomfortable I'll be!
Another thing to consider is people are willing to spend $$$ on different things i.e. lots of women I know get prenatal massages which run $80+ for an hour of comfort. Think...you are get multiple hours of comfort over multiple weeks and possibly future pregnancies for $200.
