January 2012 Moms

I'm home from l&d

Thanks for keeping everyone updated, Misha!

I'm home from l&d. I'm on modified bed rest (aka no work and mostly sitting/laying down) until my regular appointment on Thursday. The Ffn test came back negative, my urine analysis was good, and baby sounded good on the monitor. I was having contractions, but no pattern to them. They gave me a shot of Terbutaline to stop them. That stuff stings! And let's just say those cervical checks are no walk in the park - I'll take a pap smear over those any day. But in the 2+ hours I was there I didn't dilate anymore. Hopefully it stays that way and I get cleared to go back to work on Friday!

  • so crazy...this is exactly what happened to me last weekend! the terbutaline does sting like a mother!! did they do a cath urine sample?? i thought i was going to die...ugh. i was dilated to 1cm, but the contractions calmed down and they sent me home. had a follow-up with ob on monday, and im measuring a full five weeks ahead, so they scheduled a specialty ultrasound for tomorrow. hopefully baby is just a little big, and there aren't any complications!!! i tried telling lo that she needs to calm the eff down...at least until 35-36 weeks!!!
