I know OrangeSmoke is, based on her response to another PT post below. Anyone else?
Katie will pee on the potty at school and home, but we aren't pushing full on potty training. She never lets us know when she has to go, but if we put her on during a diaper change she'll usually go. And poop is certainly not happening on the potty.
Call me crazy, but I'm still all about the convenience of diapers. Yes, it means carrying a diaper bag, but even if she was PTed I'd need to carry a change of clothes in case of an accident. And while I'm sure we'd save some money on diapers, we will continue to need pull-ups for years because it takes kids so much longer to train overnight. And poop training is even harder - I know plenty of pee-trained kids who need to poop in pull-ups.
When she's ready, let's us know she has to go, and takes ownership of it I'll do it. But until then I'm kinda happy where we are.
Re: Alright, who else isn't in a rush to PT?
DD is showing interest, and we're following her lead. But we aren't pushing anything until she's ready. Plus that would mean getting rid of my cute cloth diapers
Of course, our crazy (former) pedi wanted me to start PT this month...
I am in no hurry, I want them to PT, but I ask and they won't so I will follow their lead.

ME, ME, ME!!!!
I LOVE having 2 in diapers. LOVE. People think I'm crazy, but it just seems sooooo much easier to ever leave the house without having to constantly think about/ look for/ run to the nearest restroom.
I'm stressed out enough about having to wrangle them both now that DS is about to move out of her infant carrier. To add to that incessant, "DS, do you have to go potty??!" - the thought makes me crazy.
I'm not really in a rush, just wanted to get some info to put in the back of my head for when I am ready to do it in full force.
I have 2 goals. One is to hopefully be potty trained before we go up to NY this summer and the other (if he isn't potty trained by then) is to be trained by the time he starts K3 in Sept.
In all honesty, I am a bit lazy too and probably won't really start to put an effort into it until right around the time he turns 3 in March.
I didn't potty train my son until he was over three and my daughter turns three in February and I've been pushing it off until after her birthday. She's just not there yet - she will sometimes sit on the potty but has only peed once in it and sometimes she says she wants to wear underwear but then will just pee in them and not tell me she needs to use the potty so I don't think she quite gets it yet. My son was the same way and when we tried after he turned three it was super easy and quick to train him. He peed and pooped in the potty and even was good overnight. I have my fingers crossed that my daughter will be the same way.
Kelly, Mom to Christopher Shannon 9.27.06, Catherine Quinn 2.24.09, Trey Barton lost on 12.28.09, Therese Barton lost on 6.10.10, Joseph Sullivan 7.23.11, and our latest, Victoria Maren 11.15.12
Secondary infertility success with IVF, then two losses, one at 14 weeks and one at 10 weeks, then success with IUI and then just pure, crazy luck. Expecting our fifth in May as the result of a FET.
This Cluttered Life
I'm not going to potty train...ever...
I'm kidding...sortof...
I can't stand the thought of having two kids in a public restroom a gazillion times a day. No thanks!!
Caroline is sooooo ready, but I'm holding back until we get settled into our new house. I've already upset her apple cart by having another baby and buying a new house, and I have to take her paci away soon, so I'm not rushing the potty training.
I felt the same way a few months ago. Around 22 months, we started putting her on the potty before bath, but nothing consistent. Then she broke her arm at 25m so we put off PTing all summer.
But around 27-28 months, she took ownership. It had a lot to do with moving into the 2/3s class at school. She's the youngest and almost all the others were PTd. After a month or two of watching them go, she was ready.
So there was very little "training" involved. She basically did it herself! So not rushing definitely worked for us.
ME!!!!
DS was 3 in Oct and is in no rush. He will poop on the potty and will pee at school but has little interest at home. He'll get there when hes ready. I agree the thought of knowing where every public restroom is and how to get there quickly is not appealing.
I didn't rush, and waited until she basically said, "mommy, I don't want to wear a diaper anymore. I'm not a baby." There was VERY little training involved. Pooping is a bit of an issue, but really not that bad.
She was 2y6.5m before we did it.

I wasn't at all, I was aiming for next summer when he was closer to 3. That being said, he did it himself about a month ago!
He was done with diapers one night when one was bugging him and hasn't looked back. I sort of freaked but let him do his thing. I am now in the boat of "they will do it when they are ready".
I was planning on using onesies all winter, he put an end to that! haha
This is us too! He occasionally goes at school, but doesn't ask or show a real interest in it. I'll get more serious around 2.5.
