Yep- Cerclage was placed on Monday. I am on modified bed rest for the rest of the week, then I move down to pelvic rest until my follow up appointment in 2 weeks. Hopefully next week I'll be able to go to work. I really need to save my paid time off for when the baby comes!
Well here's hoping that you get good news at your follow up appointment!!
When I was pregnant I hoarded my leave like CRAZY! I think I only called out like 1 day the entire time because I was so paranoid about having enough time.
bumping from my phone. please pardon any typos and missing punctuation
Ugh that's awful! I hope you are able to go back to work soon.
Trying to think of things to do............are there any series you have been dying to catch up on? (Mad Men, Dexter, the Wire, etc. those are on my list lol. I'm kind of behind the times.)
its gotta be hard to be on bedrest when Evie's there. When I'm sick I still end up doing most of her care, its just quicker and then I can go back to bed!
Ugh, I'm sorry. That would just suck, especially with a toddler running around. Hopefully you get sprung from bed rest next week! In the meantime, any crafts you've been wanting to do? Reading to catch up on? That's what I'd be looking for to occupy myself! Hang in there!
Been thinking of you! I can't imagine being on bed rest. Definitely have DH pick up a few books. Hope you can return to work next week. Is Evie at daycare?
I hope you can go to work soon! I did the same thing w/ my leave...I used comp time for every doctor's appointment. I was so pissed when I got really sick and had to call out for three days! I can only imagine how bored you must be, I hope you are able to read some good books or something.
Ugh, bed rest sucks!!! I was on bed rest at home for a couple weeks too (and about 12 days in the hospital before that). Being at home and knowing you could be spending your time getting so many things done, and not being about to do any of it is so so hard. My laptop, books and movies were my saving grace. And I worked on thank you cards for the shower with DHs family and work shower.
Good luck and I hope you can go back to work soon!!!

Yesterday I was admonished by my nurse that I spent too much time sitting up so I spent all afternoon laying on the couch watching trash TV. I never realized so many people needed paternity tests and were willing to take them on air! Then I watched a million episodes of baby story and cried every darn time. LOL
It does help that Evie is in daycare during the day, but it's kinda lonely here without her.
Re: Week 2 of bed rest...
I'm sure you answered this in another post, but how long are you on bed rest for? You're getting a cerclage placed, right?
If you get done your holiday cards, can I send you mine to work on??
