Stomach Bug While Pregnant...

Seriously, this is the second one I have caught in a month! What the heck.  I first thought it was morning sickness roaring its ugly head again because it was bad until a couple weeks ago.  But when the puking and dry heaving wouldnt stop and my stomach felt like it could explode at any minute....I knew it wasnt just ms.  Thankfully OB called in some phenergan and knocked me out all day.  Just no fun! Is my immune system weaker now for some reason???

    Yes, your immune system is weaker now.  The reason is PG.  Make sure you wash your hands often and well, especially before you eat.  Are you around kids a lot?  That doesn't help.  But, I think that it is the worst with your first kid b/c you haven't been exposed to all of these germs and been susceptible to them like this since you were a kid.  It gets better after awhile.

    I thought I had been doing good with the hand washing and I carry around my hand sanitizer.  Who knows.  No kids, I sit in an office that is pretty secluded not around a lot of people on a daily basis.  No telling with germs.  I really hope I dont get it again...I am really weird about taking sick days as it is!
