I'm still a newbie on this board, and I've been struggling with what to do with the ticker I have for my toddler. Should I always put a ticker warning in my subject line, even though it isn't a pregnancy ticker? Is it hurtful to others to see this ticker when I reply to others' messages? If so, is there a general concensus on how I should respond? (not having a ticker; having a non-graphic ticker; etc?) Not having it feels kind of like lying about who I am and where I'm at in this whole process; but I don't want it to make others feel worse, either. There seem to be a bunch of ladies really knowledge about feelings on this board tonight; I'd appreciate your guidance. Thanks.

Re: Board etiquette question about ticker warnings
If you'll be a regular poster here, no you do not need a ticker warning. Generally the warnings are for those on PgAL or sometimes PAL who come over with the tickers signifying pregnancy or newborn.
Welcome to the board!
I agree with the others as well. The best part to me is that you are concerned for other people's feelings, so makes me know that you really aren't just trying to be a showoff.
Thanks for your concern. I'm sorry for your loss and hope you won't be around here for long
