I had really long cycles prior to my pregnancy and miscarriage and am wondering if it's possible for a miscarriage to cause shorter, more normal cycles after. The reason I'm wondering is because I'm on CD16 and feeling all the signs of ovulation (I normally wouldn't be ovulating for like 2 or 3 more weeks.) Hmmm...

Re: Shorter cycles after miscarriage?
I have heard that getting pregnant can help regulate your cycles. If you had irregular cycles pre-pregnancy than they can become more normal after pregnancy. I just had a miscarriage and still waiting on my first period so we will see. I never had long or irregular cycles, but I have signs of low progesterone. My doctor said that my cycles should become more normal after the miscarriage. I hope he is right

All AL Always Welcome
This. For me I don't think my cycles have changed drastically, well at least so far. I have only had one full cycle since my loss and it was 29 days, pre-pregnancy cycles were usually 30. If we don't get our BFP this cycle it will be interesting to see if it is any different. Charting is a really good way to know what your body is doing. After a couple of months you will probably be able to figure out what your new "normal" is. HTH
I am on my first cycle after my loss and AF came 2 days earlier than I planned on (it came on CD26 and I usually have 28 day cycles) and lasted a day longer than normal.
I'm thinking that, just like pregnancy, everyone has a different experience.
Good luck to you!
