  We were actively charting and trying when I got pregnant.... however, I do know someone who was legitimately on the Nuva Ring and got pregnant.... with twins

  I use to be on BCP but stopped in September. We were trying. But before that all we used were BCP, rarely any condoms unless I forgot that day.

  Yes, I was on bc pills when I conceived. However, I went back home, where the time difference is 5 hours from where I live, and was taking the pills at different times of the day for a kind of extended period.

  Even so, I read that the pill should still be about 95% effective when not taken at a consistent time period. I guess I'm part of that 5%.

  I've been on BCP since last December after I had my DD in October. I wasn't taking BC when we conceived DD, we were TTC. Before we conceived DD my cycles were regular to the day (most months) but this year since i've had my daughter my cycles have been so irregular, coming a week early or a week late or not at all, i'm not really surprised that we are pregnant with #2 even with taking BCP. So yes it is possible, but mine's probably not the "ideal" situation with my irregular cycles. My mother says that I was conceived while she was on BCP, but that was 27 yrs ago! lol

  Yes we were, but I caved when DH had a little too much whiskey and silly me, I didn't think we could get pregnant off "1 time".  Since it did take us a year of trying with my son.  We feel very blessed though.

  My best friend got pregnant while on BCP and using condoms. It was with a long-term boyfriend and they decided to embrace it but she lost the baby around 8 weeks. She hasn't had any scares since but doesn't trust most birth control methods.

  My husband and I were using a diaphragm and spermicide when I got pregnant.  The month before I even went to the Dr. to be sure I had it placed correctly (which I did).  I guess I was meant to have this baby!

  For three years my hubby and I only used the pull out method and loose charting (paying attention to the calendar and my fertile days). When we started started trying to have a baby we were pregnant in two months. DO NOT follow my lead. I am a minority

  Yes, we were trying to avoid but God had other ideas for us. DH was supposed to get the big V as soon as I could care for him. We were trying to avoid because I was undergoing surgery for breast cancer. But due to the cancer I couldn't use most conventional methods using hormones such as BCPs, Depo, IUDs, or the Nuva ring. Which left us with charting and withdraw or condoms.

  I was off birth control but we were using condoms! We were trying early in the year but put it on hold because of new jobs!

  Wow--wasn't expecting such a great response! Looks like I'll back off my friend a bit haha, especially cause SO and I only use condoms!
