If I were the woman there with the 2 grandmothers, I would have thrown them out long ago! They're absolutely obnoxious!!!
And to her BF-not coming to the delivery because you don't "do" hospitals...if you can help get me into this, you had better be there to support me at the end (unless I don't want you there, of course...)
Re: Anyone else watching One Born Every Minute?
yes I totally agree. the grandmothers would drive me crazy and I also can't believe either that her bf didn't come because he doesn't, "do hospitals!"
also the 2nd time mom's labor seemed so easy. did she really only push for like 3 minutes? or did they just make it appear that way?
Great minds think alike! I just posted about it. lol
I felt so bad for the lady with the moms! I am hoping and praying my mom and step mom don't get crazy.
The other labors looked SO easy though...They were looking and smiling the whole time!
That's how my last birth was, it was great (video here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AqiGlue2Hx0). Hoping I get that lucky again!
As for OBEM, it pisses me off to see SO/BF's act soo unsupportive. I mean how hard is it to be there for your wife/girlfriend on the one day she is in labor?!?! The one day she literally needs to hold your hand b/c she's in so much pain?!
Dh and I were watching it shaking our heads the whole time at the two grandmothers...omg if I were that girl I would have been livid! I want a labor like the lady who looked like Gwen Paltrow...but with a doctor on time!
You must have decided to stick it out yesterday then - congratulations!
ditto all of this!
I wanted to cry for that poor girl with the two grandmothers - they ruined what should have been a wonderful day for her!

At the end of the episode I was thinking she would have probably been better off if her much more level-headed aunt had been in the room with her the whole time instead. Thank goodness for that woman to try and help keep her focused on what was important. Clearly the 2 grandmothers are high-strung people to begin with, which is all the more reason why her boyfriend should have been there to support her, if for no other reason than to handle those two women!
