Cooking/utensil set for DD?

For Christmas, I'd like to get my DD a little set so that she can cook with me in the kitchen.  Any recommendations?  Maybe something with a cute apron and utensils for her to use or something like that?  Thanks

  • Most of DD's little kitchen stuff is from Ikea - it is so adorable! Stainless steel and looks just like the grown-up versions. No apron, but those are easy to find elsewhere.

  • Check the Target dollar bins. They always have kid size whisks, rolling pins, and other kitchen gadgets this time of year.

  • We have utencils that came with Melissa & Doug and Green Toys sets.  If you can't get to Ikea...PBK has an adorable set that I've had my eye on.  Also, just saw an entire metal set in the toys section at Costco.  It had pots, utencils, etc.
  • check out www.zulily.com -- one of the things they have up today is exactly what you are asking for.  I got DD's apron and cooking set from them a couple months ago.  I will tell you to order one thing and pay the $5-6 shipping and then shipping on rest of your orders will be free for the day.  Otherwise, their shipping is ridiculous.

  • I want the ikea set, but I may need to look at the costco ones too. Whatever  you do, don't buy the plastic kind! My MIL bought plastic pots and pans and 2 years later we have none left. They all broke. And DD is not really that hard on toys.
